3 Things to Stop Posting On Social Media

Featured Replies

My brother posts everything he does on facebook so annoying; also

had a friend of mine who likes to brag about how much money he brings

home, so he post a copy of a check stub on social media.

I do get annoyed by new selfies every week. But, generally, I'm jealous of the beautiful people...o...

I post pics of my dog, food, and my granddaughter. I occasionally post updates about mundane stuff. I make a strategic decision to post about places I go to help their SEO efforts and promote them to people who care about my opinion.

I agree 100%.

What I don't like...people who are always taking pictures of their food!

I recently read a post by someone who refers to herself as a "selfie". This is one of those people who write long blogs about their day, their feelings, etc. I never heard that term before, but realized that I am friends with several selfies. Sometimes I read their posts, sometimes I skip them. That is the beauty of social media.

For the record a "selfie" is the term used for taking a picture of yourself with your phone, arm extended etc... and I agree with the food pics.

I keep this picture on my phone to show others what genuine BGP members look like.

Well, that's interesting! My friend said it was about people talking about themselves. She actually went on a long "selfie" rant!

I should know better. I am always at least two years behind he lingo!

I am always surprised by people who announce that they are on vacation. Seems like a good way to get robbed.

When my kids were in college, I insisted on being their Facebook friend. I sometimes regretted that!:wideyed:

Agree, people that advertise they are on vacation are complete idiots.

And on the insistence, that is one of the big reasons young people have abandoned Facebook. Too easy for their parents to keep tabs, now they spend their free time on a multitude of other sites/applications that parents struggle to track. For example, SnapChat where they sext each other among other things.

If I posted I was on vacation, it would mean my butt wasn't leaving the house for the duration.

I'm not really sure what you're saying here' date=' but okay. Why does anyone really NEED to have a Facebook? And if you do need one, if you don't like what people are posting on or about, just defriend them. Problems solved.[/quote']I started a run club here in town. Facebook is EASILY the best way to run it and get the word out. So I'd say I need one.

If they were doing anything worse than what I saw on Facebook, I really don't want to know about it.

Facebook, a bandwagon I swore I would never use and now I can't live without. Go figure.

My grandkids live 1000 miles away. I live for pictures of halloween costumes, soccer games, running awards and the new dog on facebook. It helps me feel involved.

It's a good question. Of the social media sites, I stay almost exclusively on Twitter these days. I can't really think of anything about Twitter that is annoying or bothersome. Facebook, on the other hand...

Facebook has one & only one appeal for me: it's the easiest way for me to keep in touch with some people in my life. I've probably got around 600 "friends" on Facebook but have blocked about 500 of them.

You said it all. My feelings spot on. Love twitter…short and to the point.

Facebook use to be a great tool, I was one of the "originals" back when it was for college kids only…..had to have a college email addy. Oh the days…..
