I should have added, I'm pulling for the remaining NKY teams as well (yes, even FTH). For selfish reasons, I'd love to bring the 6A title back to Independence but would be happy if another public school broke the private string in 6A.

Because of his stance on the public vs. private issue, plus what I see as the outright hypocrisy on his part as the AD at Scott County and some of the "questionable" transfers that have entered their basketball program I absolutely don't want Jim McKee or his team win.

Let's bring all the hardware out west. Hush some of that Eastern bias in the process.

 

1A - Mayfield - very good team

2A - Murray - just because you won't let me list CALDWELL GO TIGERS

3A - Paducah Tilghman - giving some love to Paducah

4A - Owensboro - know nothing about them

5A - Bowling Green - Continued domination

6A - McCracken County - first year program would be an awesome story

I have nothing against Belfry and would likely pull for them against anyone but Central; however, I love what has happened at Central the last 10 years or so with coach Scroggins at the helm. I know very little about the man or the program, but from a million miles away it looks like a Disney sports movie.

 

I would also like to see Caldwell County do well so long as they don't play NCC in the finals.

I had Central in my post initially but I had forgotten about Mason County. I'd love to see Coach Buchanan get that ring.

Don't really follow the other classes enough to have an opinion.

Last time I checked Jim McKee is not the athletic director at SCHS... Nor does he have anything to do with the basketball program other than watching his son play on the JV team...

Then that's a recent change because he most definitely was when he sat on the panel debating the public/private issue a few years ago. Regardless my point remains.

1A- Mayfield-Most of the Mayfield fans have been REALLY supportive of my Tigers, and are a good lot.

2A- Somerset or NCC-Lawnboy and JumperDad are good friends and if my Tigers can't win, I would root for their teams.

3A- Ft. Campbell-Always root for the boys on Post.

4A- Boyle County-My father played for them in the 60s.

5A- Bowling Green-DOMINANCE!

6A- McCracken County-cause then maybe Haskins would retire.

2A - Caldwell County - I love that the whole town not just likes this team; they show up hours before the games and support as much as possible. That's the way it's supposed to be. Also like Christian Academy; any 2A team that can give a Very Good 6A Male team all they want (lost 6 to 0) is doing something right.

3A - South Warren - This is a newer school south of BG with a very good Defense. Just hope they can win a game or two.

4A - Owensboro - Highlands is the top shelf school here, and I have nothing but respect for them, but hoping for one of my favorite food cities in the State (best barbeque!) to come through, as they always give my Purples a tough game.

5A - John Hardin - since I can't put BG here, I'm going with JH for two reasons: 1. I like Hoss403, 2. Because I felt bad for them after their loss to BG in the state semi-finals last year. If you are up 7 with 2 minutes to go and have your opponent on their 20 at 4th and 20, you expect to win. No offense to Hellbird's Cooper team, but JH could have easily won state last year.

6A - St X - I don't think I can ever remember a team with such lofty goals in the pre-season, such turmoil during the season and such promise in the post season ever.

No offense taken my friend. JH could of won state last year. I was just happy Cooper made the run they had. If they played JH JH may have won, never said anything different. It's all good. Cooper lossing by only 14 against a team they were predicted to lose by 5+TD's to was pretty good.

4A - Would love to see CCH pull off the miracle this year with all the injuries they suffered through

5A - I'm a huge BG fan, been pulling for them all year. But for an underdog I'd love to see Conner make the run

 

6A- Even with UK#1Fan doing everything he can to alienate everyone from rooting for SK, I'd like to see SK take home the title.....we may just have to put ukfan on ignore if it happens lol
