That's impressive because it looks like mostly muscle, not a fatty. Very impressive if he can play with that weight.

Matt Elam measured in at 6' 4 and 7/8 and weighed in at 372 pounds. So basically 6'5" and around 370 right now. He injured his knee in the Region final and I saw him at a B-Ball game on 17 December and he was still limping slightly. I am amazed he can even practice at a high level right now with him being unable to really work out and get ready for this event. If he plays well I will be truly impressed because I don't think he is in any kind of shape right now. Still needs to lose about 40 pounds though.

Elam is a "project" for whatever program ultimately signs him. Has great size, but needs to have his weight redistributed which will occur once he gets under the tutelage of a strength and conditioning coach. Upon seeing him play live this year, the one thing that struck me as odd was the size of his legs compared to the rest of his body. Good player that could certainly blossom in the right college environment.

Do you think he will play at all and chance hurting his knee more just for a all star game? Maybe it would be best not to play in the game.

He has been practicing and there is a vine video of him participating in a tug-a-war.

I think he will definitely play because he has been looking forward to this game for some time. I think when you are in that atmosphere around all those great players you want to show everyone that you belong with them and can compete with them. Not sure if they have rules for this type of game (no cut blocking) but I hope no one gets hurt playing an all star game.

I have been trading texts with Marty Hoge who's son is there for the Jr. event. Tristen Hoge is a 2015 4 Star Center from Pocatello Id who has already given his verbal to Notre Dame. Tristen is also the nephew of Merril Hoge. Marty has been telling me the the talent level there is truly unbelievable. Tristen is a Freak of an Athlete.

I didn't see the scale but "372" is a shock considering the pic above. If Elam is 6'5" then Barker is 6'2".

They were measured in bare feet. Drew was 6 '2 3/4.

Measurements were not accurate at this event. Everyone was coming up about .75 short.

Thought everything was bigger in Texas? :D

Or maybe they were right with the measurements and everyone else was wrong

So he went from 6'4 to 6'2?
