October 19, 201313 yr Author Dang it, Louisville is killing UK's strength of schedule. Now THAT'S funny!
October 19, 201313 yr I'm sure I'll get blasted about this one. I like Bridgewater's arm. He has a cannon. However, he's not a franchise NFL QB until his recognition is quicker and more decisive. I was anxious to watch him in person. There were routes you could see were very late delivery. Not checkdowns either. Not 2nd or even 3rd progressions. He's a fantastic college QB, no doubt. I have serious pause about his translation into the league. IF he's late here, how is it gonna be when the speed of the game is at another level? I hope for his sake he can adapt, but he's not stepping right into the league and having terrific success, IMO. UCF was very good. Really ugly bland uniforms for this day and age, but very solid. Please send this post to him so he'll stay!
October 19, 201313 yr There were 3 defensive penalties that were crucial last night for neutral zone or offsides. All resulting in first downs. That's just awful. I agree about the running back 100%. I don't understand the play calling either. Very conservative in the 1st half with the passing game when you have a heisman hopeful in the huddle. Dumb. I was hugely disappointed in the defensive front. And some really poor tackling. The worst penalty was in the 2nd Q (I think) and CF was going for it in 4th down. They went to hard count and Preston Brown completely jumped over the line. I thought I was going to puke.
October 19, 201313 yr Teddy and the UL offense is at it best when they are playing fast and not huddling. Has been that way his entire time at UL. Name of the game on offense is score. Not try to control the end of the game in the first 3 quarters.
October 19, 201313 yr Defense was rotten in the second half. Never had an answer for what came at them. The two fumbles could not have come at worse times. Still a chance if UCF takes a loss to the right team at the right time. We needed Rutgers to take a late loss in 2006 and it happened.

October 19, 201313 yr ^ If there's a situation in which there is a three-way tie for the league title, then perhaps not.
October 19, 201313 yr To paraphrase Not Jerry Tipton "this is what Louisville gets for playing a team that's almost ranked"
October 19, 201313 yr really not much in this thread of substance.....anger and venom, and more inaccuracies.......on to the next. Pretty entertaining to me !
October 20, 201313 yr Plain vanilla defense on the last drive was weak. 4 man front with not even the hint of any blitz from any location on any of the plays in the last drive. Didn't help that those guys didn't get any pressure on the QB. Too much time left to go "prevent." Didn't work and usually doesn't.
October 20, 201313 yr Haven't read a post in this thread and won't. Only a few things to say. 1. Congrats to UCF. They deserved the win. 2. Louisville got big headed early in the 2nd Half. 3. Defense didn't come out of the locker room. 4. Giving up a 28-7 lead at home is unacceptable. Absolutely no excuse for it. The excitement was fun while it lasted. If I were Teddy, I'd sit out the rest of the season. Come on Deuce, that's not fair. Wouldn't you be calling out UK fans to respond to stuff? Don't be a sore loser, and not just roll with it. UL still with a great run.
October 20, 201313 yr Won't lie and say I wasn't happy with the result, however I do feel bad for Deuce, RM, RP and the other UofL faithful on here. These kind of losses are never fun. A couple observations: 1) Teddy is legit. Not 100% positive he's the #1 pick, but he'll have a very nice pro career. 2) Is something up with Dyer? I think he only played 1 snap. 3) Parker is going to play on Sunday's, was pretty impressed (again) with he and Rogers (who I hadn't really known of before). 4) Storm Johnson is a man. Guy runs hard. 5) Think UofL made a crucial error by trying to run the clock down on their final scoring drive. That's fine, but you gotta go all out on it. You can't run it down, then wham, score with more than enough time for the other team to come down and win. Either go quick and score, or run it all the way down. 6) Defense for UofL got exposed a bit I think. Thought they were legit against Rutgers, but they were a sieve last night. Just a really poor showing from that side of the ball. 7) No shot intended, but what are the bowl tie ins for the AAC? Assuming they don't win the conference, what kind of bowl is UofL looking at as it's ceiling? They go by series with the RB's....my gut says that changes in Tampa next week. D. Brown is running angry, and I love it.... Storm Johnson got himself a shot at the NFL Friday night, man he looked good. Defense was gassed and played uninspired (except for Calvin Pryor)...... #2 in the AAC goes to the Russell Athletic Bowl (former Citrus, I believe) in Orlando on 12/28 (same day as the UK / UL basketball game)....
