Well, this stinks. But, onward and upward! Maybe we'll play more inspired throughout the rest of the season and post season.

Won't lie and say I wasn't happy with the result, however I do feel bad for Deuce, RM, RP and the other UofL faithful on here. These kind of losses are never fun.

A couple observations:

1) Teddy is legit. Not 100% positive he's the #1 pick, but he'll have a very nice pro career.

2) Is something up with Dyer? I think he only played 1 snap.

3) Parker is going to play on Sunday's, was pretty impressed (again) with he and Rogers (who I hadn't really known of before).

4) Storm Johnson is a man. Guy runs hard.

5) Think UofL made a crucial error by trying to run the clock down on their final scoring drive. That's fine, but you gotta go all out on it. You can't run it down, then wham, score with more than enough time for the other team to come down and win. Either go quick and score, or run it all the way down.

6) Defense for UofL got exposed a bit I think. Thought they were legit against Rutgers, but they were a sieve last night. Just a really poor showing from that side of the ball.

7) No shot intended, but what are the bowl tie ins for the AAC? Assuming they don't win the conference, what kind of bowl is UofL looking at as it's ceiling?

Something tells me the Cards heal well next week.

The American Bowl Tie-ins 2013 (same as the old Big East):

#1 Bowl Championship Series. Automatic berth to a BCS bowl game.

#2 The Russell Athletic Bowl versus ACC #3.

#3 The Belk Bowl (formerly Meineke Car Care) versus ACC #5.

#4 The New Era Pinstripe Bowl versus Big 12 #7.

#5 The BBVA Compass Bowl versus SEC #9.

#6 The Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl versus Conference USA #4.

Thanks in advance.

:thumb: Me too. UL has been playing like "we are UL, you guys lay down now" . I thought that UCF would come in ready to play. Game wasn't played out like I expected (big comeback), I thought UCF would stay close the whole game, back and forth but the results the same.

One accuracy was me picking UCF to win.

Yep, :D.

Yep, :D.

I can't seem to like this on my phone so I'll just say "like!"

really not much in this thread of substance.....anger and venom, and more inaccuracies.......on to the next.

Not All inaccurate, a couple of people knew better, wasn't drinking the Cardinal Kool Aid. :thumb:. You're welcome. :D

I think they've been playing like "We are UL, we don't have to play with maximum effor to beat you". They just seem to have played with JUST ENOUGH effort to win. It's been frustrating.

After few hours to take it all in just few thoughts.

1. Game changer was in 3rd quarter after UL went of 28-7 next offensive series the offense went into "USE the Clock" mode.

2. D. Brown is best running back on the team - Not sure why Perry plays in front of him. on 2nd series of the 3rd quarter after Brown killed UCF the offensive series before they insert Perry and he gains 1 yard.

3. Defense stunk it up in the 2nd half. - I cant believe they playing a 3 man front and kep getting killed on zone read - Blame coaching for that one.

4. Off side penalty was big by Cards on UCF last drive.

5. Shawn Watson has killed this offense - Last year against Florida he called playes like he had nothing to lose - this year he calls plays like he trying not to win.

6/ 4th & 5 Watson called a FADE route to Parker - I know it worked - but "COME ONE MAN"

I want a refund for paying for Bowl Tickets early!

I'm sure I'll get blasted about this one. I like Bridgewater's arm. He has a cannon. However, he's not a franchise NFL QB until his recognition is quicker and more decisive. I was anxious to watch him in person. There were routes you could see were very late delivery. Not checkdowns either. Not 2nd or even 3rd progressions. He's a fantastic college QB, no doubt. I have serious pause about his translation into the league. IF he's late here, how is it gonna be when the speed of the game is at another level? I hope for his sake he can adapt, but he's not stepping right into the league and having terrific success, IMO.

UCF was very good. Really ugly bland uniforms for this day and age, but very solid.

There were 3 defensive penalties that were crucial last night for neutral zone or offsides. All resulting in first downs. That's just awful.

I agree about the running back 100%.

I don't understand the play calling either. Very conservative in the 1st half with the passing game when you have a heisman hopeful in the huddle. Dumb.

I was hugely disappointed in the defensive front. And some really poor tackling.

Think your Bridgewater analysis is spot on. He may end up being the #1 pick, but I don't see him as the best NFL QB in this draft class.

NFL teams will be more afraid of his body and playing lesser competition. He is a playmaker but I don't know if id sleep well taking him #1 overall. Obviously that's the kinda pick that gets you fired or rehired. Your career rides on it.

Haven't read a post in this thread and won't. Only a few things to say.

1. Congrats to UCF. They deserved the win.

2. Louisville got big headed early in the 2nd Half.

3. Defense didn't come out of the locker room.

4. Giving up a 28-7 lead at home is unacceptable. Absolutely no excuse for it.

The excitement was fun while it lasted. If I were Teddy, I'd sit out the rest of the season.

How is your crow tasting? Have a nice day. :D
