How is UCF "definitely" in the Top 20 but UofL isnt?

UCF has a win over a top 10 team.

So you give UCF the credit for beating a Top 10 team, but at the same time try to say the Top 10 team they beat isn't even a Top 20 team? :lol2: Makes sense.

But we've spent this entire thread taking about how UofL isn't really a top 20 team. How does Louisville's ranking then still help UCF in your mind?

Typed it at the same time.

Great minds...

Who has UL beaten to warrant a top 20 ranking?

By that rationale who has UCF beaten to warrant their ranking? :D

Both are probably ranked (now) around where they are supposed to be. Neither may suffer another loss so by default both could get back around the top 10.

When UCF beat them, they were ranked No. 8. Now, they are lucky to be ranked No. 18. Either way, UCF has a win over a top 25 team, a win on the road at Penn State and a 3-point loss to another top 25 team.

Louisville has beaten no one and lost it's only game against a team worthy of being in the top 25.

So Louisville is good enough to boost UCF from unranked to 21st, but not good enough to stay in the Top 20 themselves? Again, makes sense. :lol2:

It'll make perfect sense when Houston beats Louisville in a few weeks.

It's a shame but probably true.

I thought UL's defensive line got whipped, in both UCF's rushing and passing game.

Absolutely. They got no pressure all night. No sacks, and very few (if any) tackles for loss.

True, CFB rankings are crazy, has to be a better way to do that, but there isnt I guess.
