Central Florida 38 Louisville 35

I thought UL's defensive line got whipped, in both UCF's rushing and passing game.

Before the season started, Vance Bedford made a big deal about the defense getting more aggressive with blitz packages and the like. Then when they finally got a little pushback from someone, they reverted right back to that conservative defense and it was cut to ribbons. Forget blitzing, how many times during that comeback did linebackers even come up to help the front four at all? The coaching staff convinced themselves that the front four could get pressure without help; that simply wasn't the case.

^ He's right. Louisville didn't play anywhere near their best and gave the game away. Foolish to say publicly in that way to a media that eats up stuff like that.

How is he right?

^ Louisville should have won. Played an awful game and gave it away despite having every opportunity to win.

I agree with him on that.

But like I said above, it was a foolish thing to say at the press conference. It's something you can think; it's something you can say to your assistants and to your team; it's not something you say to the press.

I think it's a foolish thing to say after your team lost. If they were the better team, how did they give up 28-7 lead and lose?

The best team doesn't always win on any given day.

The best team doesn't win the NCAA Tournament; the best team doesn't always win the Super Bowl; heck, isn't this the first time in a decade that the teams with the two best records in each league are meeting in the World Series?

Louisville had a couple bad breaks and broke down defensively at some bad moments. Play that game five more times and Louisville wins them all -- I truly believe that. And I absolutely think that argument can be made. It was a foolish thing to say at a press conference at this time.

Idiot. Sounds like a sore loser who doesn't know how to handle losing. That's right up there with the moronic comment's Bill Self made about how Kentucky didn't win the game, Kansas just ran out of time....

And any coach worth a dang will say something along the lines of "I still think we have one of the better, more talented teams in the country, but give them credit, they were the better team that night". Just an ignorant statement.

^ I'll absolutely agree with that. It's just not something you say. Charlie has never been particularly strong with handling press conferences.

This is what I'm saying. Dumb thing to say.

Also, I think UCF is better than Louisville too, but that's my opinion.

Wireman leading the way in posts in this thread. :lol2: Just like I said.

I don't think that UCF is better than Louisville.....the voters agree as well.

And Louisville lost to Central Florida. :lol2: Just like I said.

Well the media, coaches, computers....etc.....except for YOU, feel that Louisville is superior team....
