Just stating what they said. They said the 14 came on second team D. I have no idea. I wasn't there. Did SK score late in the first half or something? I remember them saying no points against their first team. Again, just stating what I remember from the post game thread.

SK scored their first TD against a mix of 1s and 2s earlier in the half, the second TD came against all 2s. StX was healthy but their stud RB played sparingly. Deaton for SK did not play at all. It was Dillon Powell's first start along with an Oline replacing several starters.

Bottom line SK is much better than they were 2 months ago. I will not speak for St X fans but it sounds like there is dissention in the ranks. I will also say this, this SK team is several TDs better than last years version mainly due to the progress of BK and his receivers. Does that mean they have caught up to Scott Co? I don't know but I would argue they have definitely closed the gap.

With the way the playoffs are laid out I would say the are a big threat to win it all.

Without hearing from the St X fans, I'll believe you that the game was as close as you say and it wasn't a blowout.

Let's talk about the 1 TD wins vs Conner and Collins. What about those wins against two avg teams that aren't even in 6A. What was the problem there? One of them is 2 classes below SK and neither could even come close to using with any of the big boys. And we still haven't addressed CC scoring 35 on SK...another team that couldn't come close to any of the other 3. Just not sold.

I'll ask again, who will SK have to beat to get to the finals. Lets talk about those games before we even talk about an upset by SK. Do they have a cake walk to the finals?

Both of those games were on the road, and they were still wins. This team had a lot of talented players coming in but they were going to take some time to gel, I think they've done that at this point in time.

SK was also very fortunate that starting stud LB Jacob Warwick was out for the Conner game. He is a difference maker and a game changer.

From what I've read they won't be playing anyone from Louisville or Scott County until they arrive in Bowling Green, so you tell me. Does that make it a cake walk for SK or any team from that side of the bracket for that matter?

And teams have been lucky that SK's starting running back has been out for a few weeks as well. You play with the players you've got.

Everyone talks about their missing players but don't do that for X. X has been without their best player vs T and Male, but they aren't cut any slack. Percell has been out since wk 3 but still they aren't cut any slack. Don't be too quick to write off X.

I'm not talking about it. That's why I said you play with the players you've got. Injuries happen, it's an unfortunate part of the game.

I wasn't exactly responding to you, more so all the posters in the thread who've wrote off X and use injuries as excuses for their teams. All I'm saying to everyone who has commented writing X off is to rethink that. As poor of a team X has been, they've been in every game this season;with the bowling green game being a slight exception.

Didn't see the Collins game so I will not speculate except to say it was a good opening round opponent on the road.

I have only seen Conner once so I won't say how average or above average they are. I will say Barker was on point all game very tough throws were made right on the money. I think he had 4 incompletions in the first half and all were drops. SK struggled to cover the slot receiver,Way that night. They haven't had that issue since. its up for debate on whether the problem is fixed or they just haven't played another slot receiver Like Way since that game. Probably a bit of both.

I have no idea. I'm asking who will they play? Are there teams that will end up on there side that could beat them prior to the finals? That's what I'm asking. I do know that outside 4-6 teams, 6A is pretty weak. That's why I'm curious who they would see!

With the scores coming out of the district games in Louisville I would say it would be unwise to write off any of those teams.

Come on man! What team hasn't had players miss games. The best team in NKY has had six offensive linemen miss at least one game, both running backs miss a game, both safeties and both corners miss at least one game, their best returning D lineman miss several games, and their top linebacker miss a game. This is football. Injuries happen to every team and nearly every team is missing someone every game.

Your right that you play with the players that you've got. But if one guy missing makes that big a difference, you don't have enough guys to be a contender.
