A wasted season?

Featured Replies

IS this yet another wasted season for the Bengals? With Andy Dalton as their QB they have no prayer of doing anything special. It's only 4 games into the season but I haven't seen any improvement with our QB play.

Does anyone not think he is making this a wasted season for the boys? Does anyone seriusly think we can win with him as our QB?

It will be ok. I'm not a professional, but just wait until the police get there and talk you down off the ledge. It will be ok.

No. They are still good enough to make the playoffs. The waste will be when they long term Dalton who isn't any good but they will think he's good enough.

Nah.

As Jack Palance told Billy Crystal in "City Slickers"...

..."Day ain't over yet."

Not wasted at all. There will be ups and downs with almost all teams. It is still on 1/4 over, long way to go.

Step away from the ledge

Hardly wasted. 2-2. Tied for the division lead. 12 games to go.

Make that 11, they'll be 2 - 3 after the NE loss.

Try being a Jacksonville fan....

At least the Jax fans weren't sold a bag of crap disguised as a championship team. They were already told they would stink....Bengals tried to convince...and succeeded in making many believe that they were a very talented team and aspirations of great things this year.

I laughed in 2009 when the exact same things were being said about the Bengals team "The 2009 team is the most talented since the Bengals of the 80's" I knew they had a ton of deficiencies then and when the same thing was said about this years team as well as being said one of the most talented in the league I laughed again. I knew there were too many deficincies with this years team. I said it before the season even started and was laughed at by some on here as if I had no idea what I was talking about. I said our QB wasn't good enough to win big games, I said our O-Line was horrible as it's been since Mike Brown let it go by the wayside after the 2005 season, I said the secondary was horrible yet I was scoffed at. Now the excuses are comin g fast and furious...we have 3 guys out of our secondary...so what, they were in the first few games and they still sucked. Our 0-l;ine couldn't block it's way out of a paper bag and I've seen better High School QB's in the NKY area than Andy Dalton.

This team will win some the rest of the way and they'll lose some. They will do what they usually do under Marvin Lewis since he's gotten here and that is they will win the majority of games against bad teams and lose the majority of games against teams with winning records....that's just the way it is and has been since 2003.

Is it a wasted season? Not for me it isn't, I didn't hold them to the high expectations many others held them to this year. I held them to the same expectations as I did last year...they will get to the playoffs, probably with the help of others in the division who are equally as bad and then get spanked.

Do you REALLY wanna jump?!?

While that is certainly a disappointing loss, because of the state of their division this year, they will be fine.

I think they will beat NE for some reason.

You're optimistic, that's good. I'm more of a realist. I wanna' believe..........just can't bring it around.
