As a Browns fan I'm not sold Bridgewater is a game changer for them. He may be solid but I just don't know. But then again I'm not sold on Manziel or Boyd either.

 

Big questions regarding each of them. All could be stars or none could be. Guess we just have to see how the rest of the season plays out.

As a Jags fan, I have to be sold on Bridgewater/Boyd. That's one of my future QB's :lol2:

Some 2014 mock drafts have UCLA QB Brett Hundley going as high as No. 2, behind Bridgewater. That's assuming he leaves school early. Heard on ESPN today the Browns now have two picks in rounds 1, 3, 4, so they should have no problem moving up.

Might even see a repeat of '99 when QBs went 1-2-3 in first round (Couch, McNabb and Smith). Jags, Browns and Raiders could all draft QBs with the first three picks ... although Clowney would be mighty tempting.

I love the trade! Colts just got real good. The Browns might give former WKU grad Rainey some carries.

Just read an article that said Richardson found out about the trade by hearing it on the radio. Seems to me the same thing happened when Buddy Bell was traded to Texas several decades ago. Classless.

I'm just not sold on Manziel as an NFL QB. Can't run around in the backfield and throw up jump balls at the next level. Time will tell.

I bet Trent's injury situation also concerned the new regime.

I think Teddy B is a GREAT college QB and is great for the college game as a whole.

 

With that I'd be extremely nervous about taking him with a top pick.

I had good relations with everybody. I guess it’s the best for the Browns. At the end of the day, it’s the best move for both of us, I guess. I want to be a Brown. I didn’t see it coming, but at the same time, I’m a Colt now, so I got to move on get ready for Sunday’s game.”

I saw that. I just don't understand why players aren't told beforehand. Blows my mind.

Manziel just threw for 464 yards versus "Defensive God" Saban, right? Would you rather have Manziel or Andy Dalton? I don't know if Manziel is going to be a superstar but he could be something special and at the worst he will be a better starting QB than half the current starters in the NFL. The QB that Manziel is being compared to as most similar - Russell Wilson.

 

Usually agree with what you say, but no way on the bolded. I'll be very surprised if that happens.

 

I think his biggest faults are his lack of size, and the way his style will expose him to picks and injuries.

 

Saying him at his worst is going to be better than Peyton, Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Eli, Ryan, Luck or RG3 is just bold.

 

After that, there's a group of 8+ that have a nice enough combination of skill/talent/resume to say Manziel would have a decent career if he met them, but if he's at his worst and is better than the vast majority of them, he has me fooled.

 

The next tier would be guys like: Stafford, Newton, Kaepernick, Roethlisberger, Flacco, Cutler, Vick, Rivers, Romo, Wilson, Bradford, Schaub, Palmer, Alex Smith, and potentially even Tannehill.

 

Not saying he's incapable of starting or having a nice career, just that saying that if even at his worst, he's better than them, I'm going to be very surprised.
