What is funny about this thread is Cat fans predicting a 30+ point game. I understand so when UL only wins by a couple of TD's you will spend the rest of the year talking about how UL isnt very good.

Uh oh. Coach is on to me. :lol2:

What would a more appropriate prediction be?

Or we really think UofL is that much better.

Louisville is better, but even I don't think they are 30 points better than UK. Either I'm not giving UL enough credit or I'm giving UK too much.

Please take my comments as me just taking a jab at BBN! All fun and games!

If John L or Petrino was still coaching this UL team then yes I would say the score might get above 30 points. I just dont see Charlie doing that in a rival game. If everyone would recall he could have last year and he let up by pulling Teddy in the 3rd quarter.

UK was manhandled by Western Kentucky. I would say the latter :lol2: Last season UK lost by 18. UL is much better with the #1 QB in the land and UK has some pieces for the future but really not much if at all improved from last year. They still suck.

Will home field advantage count for much in this game?

We'll see I suppose. I don't really think Strong would run it up on UK even if he had the opportunity, and I hate that. :lol2: UL's run game was weak last week, and UK's D-Line will definitely be the first test of the year for our O-Line. If they protect Teddy, it's all she wrote...

I will say special teams worries me a bit. Louisville's kick coverage has been suspect for years, and UK has a few guys that can take it back.

UK's secondary is flat terrible. Teddy should have his way through the air. This one will get ugly quick.

As far as if Charlie will run it up or not, my thoughts are this...I think he called off the dogs last year because of Joker. This year is different for a couple of reasons but the main reason is Teddy has a real shot at the Heisman. Unfortunately for UL (and UK really) UK will be their toughest opponent. Because of awfulness that is their schedule Teddy is going to have to put up video game type numbers. If I'm Charlie he plays no less then 3 quarters and the score is what it is. My goal would be to get him 500 yards passing if I could. As a UK fan it will suck big time but I would understand. However, if that happens he has to understand there could be a day when the favor is returned (I hope).

I don't expect a UK win by any means, I really just hope for a good game and for them to keep in respectable. UL is very good team and if UK can at least be competitive then they have something to build on. They have to stop limit the penalties and they have to get some pressure on Bridgewater.

Agree. The strongest point of UK's defense should be their defensive line, so they will have to play well for the Cats to have a chance. UK's secondary doesn't have the depth and talent right now to just leave our guys on an island where Teddy has time to sit back and pick his spots.

Simply put, Teddy is just too good to let him sit back and get comfortable.

You bring up some good points.

It seemed like last week, Timmons was just an ankle tackle away from breaking some long gains. I think it will be a fairly competitive game with UL pulling away to win comfortably by 14-17 points. I hope Quick and Hatcher play.
