McAlistors Deli. Mrs. S and I tried it during soccer season, coming to and from games.

Great soup, subs, salads, sandwiches, and sweet tea. Only 2 in the here Bay area, but I notice there are a bunch of them in Louisville.

Potbelly sandwich shop just opened in Louisville they are Chicago based it is awesome!

Haven't seen it mentioned, but what does everyone think about Blimpie? I haven't had one from there in forever, probably doesn't even exist anymore. I remember back in the EKU days I would kill those things with my Colonels Card.

We use to have them in the Hess gas/convenient stores here. Noticed them gone last time I stopped at one.

The only ones I had tried weren't bad at all, especially compared to Subway. Haven't saw one in a while though so I figured they were done.

I haven't seen one in years. I always thought they were pretty good. Back in the day, there was one in the food court at NKU that I'd eat at weekly.

Is Subway doomed?

Hardly, the following is from Wikipedia. "Subway is one of the fastest growing franchises in the world with 40,855 restaurants in 105 countries and territories as of January 1, 2014." Another site stated that Subway has more locations in the United States than McDonalds and Starbucks combined. While I agree that you can get a much better sandwich at several of their competitors, I think they will be ok.

After going back through this thread I don't get all the hype for Jimmy John's , I mean I like it. But it wouldn't be my top option. Jersey Mikes and Potbelly fix a superior sandwhich.

There used to be a Blimpie in Warsaw, but I'm not sure if it's still there. Never ate there but other ones I've eaten at were wildly superior to anything Subway throws at you with its billion-dollar ad campaign to sell bread'n'lettuce sandwiches.

I pass 3 on my way to and from work everyday and I only live 7 miles from work. I can walk to the closest one, less than a mile away.

ARRGGHHHH....Wa Wa brings back some really bad memories. Got a hoagie from there on a Sunday night after returning from a baseball road trip in college. Went to bed and woke up completely delirious suffering from food poisoning. Spent 4 days in the infirmary, lost 15 lbs and ended up losing 2 weeks of my sophomore season. I stop in WaWa for quick drinks or snacks when I'm home, but even after over 20 years, will never ever eat from their deli.

Felt the same about Wing House after I got food poisoning from them 16 years ago. Gave them a second chance recently. All was good.

Most locations of any fast Servcie chain. Third in volume behind McDonalds and Starbucks.
