Kuntz is clearly and easily the #2 QB in NKY right behind Barker. Remember you talked up how great the SK defense is, which it is a great defense and Drew still produced just as many offensive touchdowns as Kuntz against that defense. So your own words shows that it is still Barker #1. Kuntz is great too though, and he should end up D1 somewhere. So we in NKY are lucky to have two seniors to watch who are D1 QB's, and possibly another D1 QB next year in Moore. So even though Kuntz is not #1 in the area, he definitely is the real deal though. :thumb:

Was at the game and Kuntz was very good but he is not as good as Drew Barker. Kuntz had a stronger line with more holes to run and receivers that had more success catching the ball for this game. Barker was rushed passing most of the night and SK had a great game plan not allowing him any room to run. Hope Conner can do a better job protecting Drew. With that said SK is the top 6a team NKY and only won by a touchdown so there is hope for the Cougars.

I guess the qb in Ft. Thomas isn't any good. Why don't you go look at his numbers and see if he belongs in your conversation.. He might be worthy of some accolades... Just sayin!!

All this talk about Kuntz made me wonder a couple things, so I put on my research glasses and found something very interesting.

 

There is a QB who isn't even getting mentioned here. Although he himself would admit he's not one of the best in the area but his numbers thus far are quite interesting.

 

This is a kid who hadn't been the starting QB until this year and many people had question marks about him going into the season. Thus far he has faired pretty darn well after 3 games. I only compared his stats with Kuntz but found it interesting.

 

Will Ludwig. Ludwig has more completions than Kuntz, Ludwig also has more TD's and more passing yards than Kuntz with over a 60% completion rate so far.

 

Just found it interestingg wiith all the talk about QB's,, one that hasn't been mentioned so far is a kid who has out performed others that have been mentioned on here, especially seeing it is his first year starting at the position.

Something else I will add about Ludwig. He is very good at spreading the ball around. Out of his 6 passing TD's he has gone to 5 different receivers for those scores.

Uncalled for! Chad Lawrence was a very very good high school QB.

NKY is blessed with a lot of QB talent this year.

 

Drew Houliston is absolutely putting on a show right now over in Ft Thomas. Say what you want about the talent, but something to think about. He has completed a pass to 8 different receivers the past two weeks. His numbers aren't coming from having one stud WR.

 

Drew Barker...well, enough said. There is a reason the kid is one of the top prospects in the country.

 

Drew Moore- Best athlete playing QB, IMO.

 

Will Ludwig- Does nothing special but extremely fundamentally sound. Nice touch on his passes and runs the ball better than some realize.

 

Brenan Kuntz- Very good pocket passer and has the ability to run.

 

Kyle Fieger- One of the better sophomore qb's in the state.

 

A few who aren't being mentioned much:

 

Mac Franzen- Very good athlete. Throws a nice ball and has the ability to run. Only area of weakness is break away speed.

 

Avery Wood- After seeing him Friday night, I'm convinced he is one of the top qb's in the area. Kid throws a nice ball and is a bull running the ball.

For my money, I wouldn't take anybody in Greater Cincinnati over Drew Houliston right now. Kid flat out can play.
