Saw Jesse today and she is doing better and expected to be released from the hospital tomorrow. Please keep her in your prayers as she has a long rehab in front of her, but if anyone can do it, Jesse can.

On a related note, as someone who travels the AA with moderate frequency; always watch for folks entering the highway from those little side roads.

 

And if you're approaching the highway from many of those roads, the AA is often right at the top of a rise with little if any warning (no rumble strips, etc.). The "engineering" was very suspect, IMHO.

That was the second terrible accident on the AA in two days. Please also pray for the family of a young man who also has had his life altered and a long road ahead that was hit head on the day before while just driving down the road by someone who crossed center.

Dear Father in Heaven, I ask you for healing for Jesse and the successful resumption of her athletic and academic careers. I also ask for redesign of the AA freeway. Way too much life has been lost and altered on that road. I ask this in the name of Your Son.

Another reason I typically avoid that area on the motorcycle, no way you're walking away from a head on collision if you're on a motorcycle. Scary stuff.

I hear the TMC Women's team has Jesse's full size cutout (I guess from her Senior Night at Highlands) and will have it in the locker room for the upcoming basketball season as a tribute to her. Pretty cool...
