I know many have ties to Deming and according to the Ledger Independent, the old Deming building has been engulfed in flames tonight.

We have reports that the old Deming School in Mount Olivet is on fire. A reporter is on the way to the scene.

Dang, any updates?

Just now watching this on the news. Said no electricity to the building and no lighting in the area. Said the fire looked suspicious.

From the Ledger and Lex18:

I'm truly sorry to see the school end like this.

Just awful.

Hate to see this, many good memories in that school.

Wow. That is terrible.

3 structure fires in this area (Bracken/Robertson) in the last week.

How long has the school been closed?

Damn, that's not on fire, that's destroyed.

How long has the school been closed?

They moved to the new school during last school year.

What were they going to do to the school since they moved to another school?

What were they going to do to the school since they moved to another school?

Collect insurance $?

It was going to be demolished. The fire probably saved the school system money.

Collect insurance $?

That was my first thought, very suspicious indeed.
