As much as I've found myself agreeing with Rand Paul on some recent issues, it's hard to deny a disturbing connection between the Paul's and white supremacy. Either they seek it out or their ideology is attractive to racists.

Or both.

Paul seems to fluctuate back and forth between some good ideas and some really out there stances. Don't understand it.

Stuff like this can kill a presidential candidate's chances very quickly. If he wants to be president, he has to be smarter than this.

Didn't seem to have an impact on Obama's chances....:D

... help me out. :idunno:

His racist pastor....His connections with terrorist Bill Ayers...

Valid points ... although neither of those were on his staff, were they?

Agreed. Sometimes I want him to run for President yesterday. Other times I want booted out of the Senate yesterday.

There is a very big difference between hiring someone as you contemplate a presidential campaign, and a past association with someone.

He was associated with both INTO the early stages of his campaign. Any differences are simply semantics. If you criticize one, I would assume I'd find your criticisms of Obama's associations with them if I pulled up those threads. However, I'm fairly confident I'd find you defending him tooth and nail.

Great points, and for my money Rand Paul is my favorite politician. He is not perfect, but that is part of his charm. He does stand for something. I hope he runs to be President and I would hope he is elected. It would be great for kentucky to be known for something besides college hoops and a quick horse race in May.
