Hiring this clown probably won't hurt Paul in Dixie but would prove embarrassing, say, if he had to defend the hire at a GOP candidates forum in Iowa or New Hampshire.

August 1, 201313 yr If someone is a Libertarian then they are a member of the party. Someone who is a libertarian believes in a certain ideology. From a lot of personal experience I have found things Habib said to be true at least w/in the state regarding the LP. However, the same cannot be said for the candidates the LP has ran and I can't recall an election where I haven't voted for the LP when the choice was there. In fact, besides Gatewood I can't think of a vote I've felt better about than Gary Johnson last year. Not to trivialize a well-thought out post but most of this is pointing out that others have been associated with atrocities over history. As they say, two wrongs don't make a right. Just like with his dad, Rand has some associations I'm not fond of. I meant its not Presidential to hire someone like this Hunter fellow with a scary past relating to race. Why take on a controversy you don't have to? The story may not be about Hunter, but by hiring him Rand has definitely made a story. When Rand first burst on the scene as a candidate I was a HUGE fan as evidenced by some old posts in here. Since then, things he has done --- this hiring for instance --- have given me reservations. My post is definitely not a tool from the right or left. You aren't going to find a more libertarian-minded poster on this forum. This is coming from someone who should be at the very core of Rand's base. Marvel, is this getting a response? Very curious to hear.
