Saw White House Down in Richmond Monday. Fairly good action movie but highly unrealistic. Cost $36 for two for tickets, popcorn, and pop. These movie plexes are eventually going to price themselves out of business. Evidently they are charging by the individual popcorn grains per bucket.

Went to the movies yesterday with the family. While most of us saw Despicable Me 2, my dad, aunt, and uncle saw the Lone Ranger. My dad and uncle said it was horrible. My aunt liked it.

Despicable Me 2 was great I loved it...but they could have shown 90 minutes of the minions and I'd been happy! The Boys 2 Men scene was GREAT! I was Rolling!!!

They definitely make the 2 movies. I've heard a lot of people liking the Village People's skit, but to me, the Boys 2 Men one topped it by far.

After reading the commentary in this thread I went to the movie reviews sites and surprisingly the four that I read all gave a good review of the movie. One said it was the best movie so far this summer, and really gave high marks for Johnny Depp's performance. Another one said the audience where they watched it gave an ovation when the theme music played. I guess I may try to see it for myself to see if I agree (if I can afford the tickets and popcorn rates....more than one movie per week could get expensive, lol).

So they do use the Willam Tell Overture? Because I was hoping they would, but none of the articles I've read about the soundtrack looked like it would. It appeared that the soundtrack was all Jack White and Hans Zimmer teaming up.

Except Donnie Brasco, that might be the last movie he actually acted in! He did a great job in that...but I haven't like much he's done since.

I liked that Gruh has Kevin, Dave and his mom on his speed dial too.

Is Johnny Deep that bad of an actor or is it the director's fault? I did not like the Pirates of the Caribbean at all.
