I just voted for Freeman another 25-30 times....Think I may do another 50 or so this evening. #VoteFreddie :D

I do not get why you are allowed to vote multiple times? I guess it is give the appearance tons of people are voting? Baseball must taking their voting practices from Liberals: Vote early and often :D

I still think people are confusing with how good Puig will be compared to his case for making the all star game this season. Two separate things. Any person knows he will not be as good as he has been the past 35 games, but knowing that should it disqualify him?

Him making the team over Freeman, or even Jay Bruce for that matter would suck.

No it should not...

Him making the team over Freeman, or even Jay Bruce for that matter would suck.

Why?

Why?

Because they have better numbers than him.

Why?

More HRs, Rs, RBIs, hits, 2Bs....Better numbers across the board.

Freeman

................................ AVG OBP SLG OPS

2013 Regular Season .305 .387 .461 .848

Puig

................................ AVG OBP SLG OPS

2013 Regular Season .407 .441 .659 1.101

Bruce

................................ AVG OBP SLG OPS

2013 Regular Season .269 .318 .497 .815

...

Bad example. His whole career consisted of 1 year. Plus Lin was added to the NBA All Star game festivities after his 10 game outburst. He was added to the Rising Stars game when Shaq drafted him to his team even though Lin wasn't one of the players to choose from.

Exactly, he was added to all the events and now look at him. He's not an all-star.

Your point?

Not all numbers are better for the other players. His is a smaller sample but he has performed at a much higher level, even though it is for a shorter time.

Well of course since he has a smaller sample size. If you wanna look at it that way let's just find a guy who may be 3-3 all season. that means he's batting 1.000

And it meant absolutely nothing. Just like it would matter absolutely nothing if Puig makes it.

For the record I could care less since I loathe fan voting for All-Star games and rarely watch any of them. But like every other All-Star game the process to select the players is majorly flawed. Trying to act like letting him in would be some kind of travesty to the process is what is laughable.

FWIW I completely understand where your coming from in this thread...and to some point I agree with what your saying.

What percentage of the games would a rookie have to play to deserve to make the team in your opinion, or does no rookie deserve to ever make the team?

I'd say enough to be qualified for league leader in statistics.
