At the very least I wish he'd flip it up so it's not Meso 2 straight games, Hanigan 3 in a row, etc. Hard to get any kind of momentum going at the plate that way.

And surprisingly, on offense, despite the terrible batting average Hanigan and Mesoraco have almost the same exact number of HR and RBI's. I like Mesoraco's potential. Catchers generally develop later than other position players and Mesoraco turns 25 next week, so he is still very young.

However, except for batting average their offensive production has been very similar. In 9 more plate appearances Meso has 4 more runs, 5 more doubles, 2 more RBIs, 1 more homer, 1 more walk and 14 more strikeouts. He's a little bit more productive but his offensive production hasn't exactly dwarfed Hanigan.
