June 11, 201313 yr Hasn't pitched in 9 days. If he were a sinkerballer or a curveballer, I'd be a little hesistant. Those types of guys you typically don't want too "strong". But, I assume they've had him on a bullpen session schedule during this time, so I'd think he'll be fine. The thing that I'll be interested in, is seeing pitch selection...especially since this is the 3rd time the Cubs will have seen him.

Genius? :lol2: Sorry ... just now getting around to reading this thread. So this post is in response to yesterday's lineup. Seriously, I don't defend every lineup Dusty puts out. Yes, I agree with you all on questioning a Dusty lineup more often than you may think. Bottom line for me on lineups - most of you seem to want every game managed like it is world series game 7 do or die. That is impossible in a 162 game season. I also see kneejerk reactions without thinking about why a lineup is put together a certain way. That is why I often ask questions when the lineup bashing begins every day. My pet peeve - if you are going to knock a lineup, give me your alternative. It is too easy to just say what an idiot without even saying what is wrong or what would be better. As to 3 lefties in a row, at the bottom, my only explanation might be that lefties hit yesterday's pitcher much better than righties so Dusty wanted to put as many in the lineup as possible. I have no idea if that is true - just speculating. Does speculating about a possible logical reason count as being a Dusty apologist? :idunno:
