June 10, 201313 yr The Reds will get back on track. Here is where I see the Reds. They are one of the best teams in baseball but they are just not quite playoff winner quality yet. It has been well documented that when they play the best teams they struggle. The Cards series this weekend shows it again. Teams like the Cardinals hit through their whole lineup. The Reds lineup is 5 hitters deep at best. The pitching staff is good enough to handle the lesser teams, but when they face playoff calibre offenses they just aren't quite good enough to get over the hump - Leake, LeCure, Hoover - better than the middle of the road teams, not good enough yet to beat the quality teams. This bullpen gets dramatically better with a healthy Sean Marshall. The Reds will make the playoffs. But unless the middle of the road players on the team - which is half of the daily lineup and pitching staff- figure it out, we are looking at the same stuff we have seen in the past few years at playoff time. That is, competitive but just not quite good enough to win a series. And all of that has very little to do with what Dusty does as manager.

June 10, 201313 yr Reds bullpen is atrocious....Outside of Chapman, no one can get a guy out right now. Definitely need to look into upgrading at the deadline if they want to have a chance to win once they get to the postseason this year.

June 11, 201313 yr Game on right now. You could barely see the outfield, although the wind clears it every now and then. It's supposed to get worse as the sun goes down and the temp drops
