Unlike most, he probably earned them. Definitely should not have driven, but he has earned respect in the big picture.

May 24, 201313 yr I have had a couple of business dealings with him. Great guy. A bunch of us were just out there a couple of weeks ago. He bought us a round of beers and as he finished pouring them into our glasses, he took the last swig out of each bottle. We all cracked up laughing.

And his daughters do run the business....now. He built the business and ran it for 20-some years. He's still there every day, and is relatively involved in the day-to-day operations of the place. He could be completely retired, and living in GOOD comfort, but he continues to go to the restaurant that he built with and for his family, and I ain't gonna knock a guy for that. Plus...most customers love the guy.

July 17, 201313 yr Looks like he has pleaded guilty. One thing I had not seen before is how far he drove up the tracks. According to this, it was 60 yards! Almost hit by a train, Mike Wong, founder of the Oriental Wok restaurants in Lakeside Park and Hyde Park, has pleaded guilty to drunk driving.
