Big game by 3-4-5 hitters from Ryle. Mason Forbes (2-4 with 5 RBIs)... Tyler Mason (3-4 with 1RBI and excellent defensive performance).. Thomas Baumann( had a big double off the fence)... Controversy in the last inning when there was a ground ball to Lonnemann at short and he mad a high throw to Tyler mason at 1st. Tyler Mason did the only thing he could do which was catch the ball yet it caused him to go towards the base line and the runner accidentally ran into him. It looked pretty bad which caused the runner to be ejected though it was no ones fault! The umpires got it wrong on this one. Tyler mason made a fantastic play hanging in there knowing he was about to get plowed but the runner had no other choice. No way he should've been ejected. I hope Tyler mason is okay he's a heck of a player. like I said it looked rough from my point of view and I hope the runner is ok I believe he hit was the one who hit the grand slam to tie the game up earlier in the game. Great game by both tes

If it was indeed a true trainwreck then I can't see why he was ejected.

Did he throw a forearm?

So it was Hathorn that was ejected?

Wasn't there but heard both Biegs and Hollis went nuts, and it was rightfully so. Heard Biegs was still going hard after the game and Arlo and Stellman had to intervene. Gotta love Biegs. Going down in a blaze of glory!

I'm not sure about the forearm. My angle was in a tough position to see it, but I don't think it was on purpose. And I do believe it was hathorn that was ejected. Yet I could be wrong; all I know is the kid was a very good size probably about 6'3 to 6'4

Yes It was Hawthorn that was ejected on incidental contact and no forearm was throw from my point of view it looked as if he raised his arms up for protection and ran into Mason . Hope Tyler is ok but once again bad call by the field Ump.

Who pitched for Ryle? Both great teams! Sorry to see Biegs go. He developed a great up and coming program. Really would like to know that happeded. Any thoughts and or comments?

It was Hathorn who was ejected at first with a horrible call by the ump. He was actually trying to slow down when he saw the collision was about to happen and put his arms up to protect himself, in no way did he throw an elbow or forearm, was horrible call but was far from unexpected after seeing the umps this year.

It wouldn't of made much of a difference in the game but was followed up by another bad call at 2nd that inning to end the game.

Too many errors made by Cooper that allowed at least 4 runs but Ryle also had their fair share of errors.

Exciting game with Hathorn's grand slam to tie the game at 8-8 in the 5th and then had bases loaded in the 6th but couldn't get the go ahead run in.

kywonder.....Hoard, See, Brennen were the Ryle pitchers.

Cooper showed their character coming back from a early Raider lead. Dunn's homer showed everyone they were still in it to win it. Carr had a couple of great catches in the outfield. Ryle did Hoard no favors blowing several routine double play balls, very uncharacteristic of the talented duo. Plvan's slug bunt off the fence in left was amazing, Baumann's blasts off the center field fence was crushed and I still have no idea how to get Tyler Mason out, kids a machine. To go with that Jackson Brennan away has a quaility at bat and seems to score, Tom Deter laying down a bunt and driving in runs. Jeremy Downs produced in a critial situation and threw out a runner at second from right to end the game. Oh, if that wasn't enough, Forbes had 5 RBI and a homer. Ethan Brennan came up huge on the hill to shut down Cooper who continued to threaten every inning. Whoever gets the Cooper team has a gold mine.

Hope your right Dinger....Cooper loses their SS, 2B and CF. OF should end up still being solid, but the infield is going to need to be figured out. The really good thing is, is that they return all their pitching but 1.

There was never a doubt he was going out in this style! I certainly hope he coaches again. Congrats to Ryle!

Cooper kept battling and both teams made tons of errors and misplays. Fun game to watch if you are not a baseball purist. I would guess each team had at least 5 errors. As the play in the 7th unfolded, it was clearly accidental contact and the runner was out anyway since Tyler tagged him and I do not think he ever touched the base. I did not realize at the time he was ejected and that appeared to be a wrong ruling. Is there some rule that requires the runner to avoid contact irregardless of circumstance? I thought the contact was unavoidable the way the play happened. The last out at second was a great play and tag right in front of bag that player slid into tag on a bang bang play and was NOT a bad call at all. The batter should never have tried for second in that situation down by 4 runs with 2 outs - coaches should have held him at first because even an ignorant spectator like me could tell it was going to be a very close play well ahead of time since the outfielder had the ball in hand at the fence as he was rounding first. I would guess a disappointing end to a losing season at Cooper and congrats to Ryle on surviving some very sloppy play.

Agree this was fun to watch but also interesting to watch how the game unfolded and see how the good ball players were able to adapt on both sides. I was very impressed with quite a few players. As for the call in the 7th, very bad call by the umpire. I'm also very interested in the Boone Conner game tonight and how some of the talent for those two schools stack up with what I saw last night. Should be another interesting and entertaining game tonight.
