Thoughts and prayers to the Bradford family.

 

All of us need to pause, look around and appreciate the life we lead in this great nation. Then say a prayer and thank you to Michael Bradford and all his comrades, past and present, for what they have given us.

Michael's wife is expecting their first child (a boy) in June. He was hoping to come home in time for the birth.

So very sorry for the Bradford family's loss. Thank you for your service Michael and for giving the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe. Breaks my heart to hear he was about to become a father. Sending prayers to the family and especially that little boy who will never meet his hero. He now has a guardian angel to guide him in life.

I just learned that, although Michael was actually out of the military, he was working for a civilian contractor aiding the effort in Afghanistan. Of course, this in no way lessens the tragedy of his death or the value of his sacrifice.
