I will assume that most, if not all, people here are the product of a twelve-year compulsory, government funded education. They let me know in no uncertain terms that the MINIMUM ROI on their investment was that I would speak and write well. Interestingly it was my father, the man who didn't go to school beyond 6th grade, who knew the most about the English language.
