April 14, 201313 yr One of the places I splurge is to pay for lawn service. I have too many allergies, plus I'm just too fat to enjoy cutting grass when it's 90 degree and 100% humidity. :lol2::lol2:
April 14, 201313 yr My mower is on the fritz but my grass needs cut. I may tinker with it today, dont want to be "That guy" on the street with 8 inch grass.
April 14, 201313 yr As the resident BGP lawncare expert, I am happy to inform you that it's that time of the season, enjoy boys and girls. BTW, I have done more than my fair share of cutting grass in my lifetime, but don't have to do it anymore. My front yard is a two-tiered rock wall, backyard is a two-tiered deck, & replaced the grass between the front sidewalk and street with pavers. NO GRASS, NO WEED-EATING!!!!!!! :ylsuper:

April 14, 201313 yr Cut it for the first time last Sunday. Laid some grass seed too. I'm so excited about having to wait until next year to enjoy the grass seed I laid out. I'm going to get on the Scotts schedule and see what happens. Come on May 2014........ It's the little things that bring joy. The little things. Like laying some grass seed.......I'm so old...... :no: Last night, I stayed up until midnight, waiting anxiously for the new sale ad for Kroger to go online. I understand what you mean. What a difference a decade or so makes! :lol2: My lawn has now been cut twice...by my lawn service. One of my former students runs a lawncare business and I was one of his charter members, all the way back from when he was a teenager! Now he employs five or six people, including some of my current students.

April 14, 201313 yr And your brother has an AstroTurf backyard! You guys must hate real grass! I did it long enough that I'm glad to not have to do It any longer, although I cut my parents when it gets too hot out. As for my brother, his excuse was his dogs were killing his grass. :ohbrother:
April 14, 201313 yr Had to do the back my mower stalled twice due to large portions of grass, guess it was time lol.
April 15, 201313 yr I love getting out and working in the yard. Any others? I sure do. I laid 2 coatings of fertilizer, cut the lawn today and I'm planning mulch next week. I def want the best lawn title on the block lol.
