Someone mentioned they may be looking at other schools because they maybe didnt get an opportunity. I would have to say they have been given plenty of opportunities at WV. Both have started and gotten a ton of playing time since they were Frosh. I think the state of affairs with the parents at WV and possibly the ability to play for a team that will make it to Rupp Arena could be legit reasons as well as maybe wanting a change of scenery.

 

I dont think the fact that Grant Brannen is out there now will be the decision to stay.

I would think ACT scores are a pretty good barometer of judging academic success of schools. Especially when one is 20% higher than another. Hard to use GPA when there are so many variables. What % go to college, kids that graduate from college, how many received academic scholarships, etc. these are some of the other factors I looked into when choosing a school for my children.

Not saying Walton or NCC are bad, just that Cov Cath is better. Also don't think the education is the key factor in this decision.

Your overall point is correct but it's not because of the entrance exam. Everyone gets in. The difference is some don't get to stay.

If indeed they do transfer, I believe there are some other circumstances that led them to that decision and we will probably never know what they are. There must be more to the story because it is going to be a very expensive decision.

You are right Just Jim, it is over the top! When parents shop their kids to other programs thru AAu coaches etc becuase they do not feel that johnny or jimmy is getting a fair deal! Over the top! They are not getting enough exposure at the school they are at and what to move to another program that is having success! Over the top! Coach wont listen to every thing parents tell him and they run him off! over the top! Coaches should get together and tell some of these parents to just keep your sons and daughters where they are! We already have enough headaches of our own!

Coaches and schools don't own kids. A parent should send a kid where ever they think gives them the best chance to succeed . I'm on the extreme other end of this issue. I don't think a kid should have to sit out regardless of the reason they transfer.

Educationally speaking one of those isn't in the same class as the other two.

 

My question is this..for all those who can judge each and every school, I'm assuming you've been inside of each and every one of those schools on a daily basis, spent time in the classrooms, visited with the students and administration etc? Because until you have done that, how can you, or anyone, judge any school system? ACT is just a means to college, it's NOT an education. I'm amazed at all those professionals who KNOW which school is the best, yet probably haven't set foot in any. Fact is, it's a free will to attend any school of the kids' and parents' choice why don't we leave it at that, whether it be WV, CC, NCC or some other school of their choice?
