We are high school sports fans, this is what we do. I do not want to come across like a jerk but simply put, if someone doesn't approve of our interest that is their opinion and they are free to to avoid BGP.

 

With that said, I am all for them doing what is best for their family, I hope it works out for them, and I hope they don't run into any roadblocks with the KHSAA.

Perhaps you can enlighten me. If the family has the desire, financial means, and opportunity to move to a community they desire and fund the education they desire for their children why would the KHSAA prevent then from playing basketball?

My impression is that continuation or discontinuation of the IB program is currently being discussed at Holmes. There are varying opinions among those who understand IB programs and the IBO in general. Personally, I'm a very big fan of the International Baccalaureate approach and I'd hate to see it go. It's unique and challenging and not for everyone; that means it attracts a pretty small number of students and uses a fair amount of space and personnel resources, so I do understand why some folks aren't as enthusiastic.

Well put. The educators who instituted and were the face of the IB program for the most part have now retired. I get the feeling that the educators who inherited the program lack their predecessors' zeal and commitment for IB. Many graduates of IB went on to distinguished universities -- and, more important, did well at these institutions of higher learning.

Not true at all. I am looking for the truth. For example, what school will they attend and why are they moving? You, on the other hand, have made it clear we should all manage our own lives yet you go on to say the move is not for athletic purposes but refuse to say what it is for. It is one or the other. Either you should refuse to give out any information or you should share both sides of it. You have an agenda, you know more than what you are revealing, and it degrades your credibility.
