I can't remember anyone saying UK was going to hang #9 this year. Proof? I heard people saying Noel might be better on D but not better overall. I'm sure there may have been a couple but it certainly was not a sentiment that many shared.

Here is a prediction thread I found for 2012-2013. It was way early then, but still fun to check. Wish more people had posted in it.

You said PLENTY of people and then mention one twitter account looking to just get followers... that's a little different to me.

It's all about the color share of blue your sunglasses are I guess. I wasn't embarrassed by the Lehigh loss last year and the way Duke was playing at the time I wasn't even surprised. I guess the same could be said for UK fans this season. What seals it for me is that UK was in the NIT. That's already embarrassing enough for a program of that stature. Under no circumstance should a program of UK's stature be in the NIT let alone not even make it to Madison Square Garden.

I am excited to see all posts like this proven wrong. People seem to be forgetting the three years before this one. More often than not, this stuff will work out. Oh and this one next year is the highest rated one of the five since Cal got here.

Was getting ready to post this if someone else hadn't already.

No I don't recall any fans, at least not on BGP, saying anything about the 2012-13 team winning number 9. Most fans have been looking towards the 2013-14 season as the potential undefeated season Coach Cal wants.

 

I remember at the end of the season and the start of 2012-2013 everyone saying how spoiled we as fans had become. I'm with you I don't recall the masses telling them to write down #9 for this past season.

One thing I keep hearing repeatedly from this group is "now its time to get to work" or similar. Don't recall similar statements from Poythress, etc.; other than maybe Noel? There already seems to be some communication & kinship among these guys--As Randle said, he's known the twins since they were 8. Hopeful this group is far more serious about winning than most of this year's group?

@9:47 last night I was probably mumbling some choice words but I'm not sure they were about # 9 until today. Healing process varies I suppose.

So happy that we landed Randle! He's going to be a great addition and looking forward to having him.

 

I am probably not going to read through the 130+ posts, so if this has been said, please excuse me. I don't understand why non-UK fans get so uptight on social media because we are excited that we signed a big recruit today. Our season is over, most of us will still watch the tournament because we are huge UK basketball fans first and college basketball fans second. I don't understand why people worry so much more about UK and not more on their own.
