Purdue was there to watch Hawkins in their first round game of the region. Morehead has recruited him hard.

Willis to UK

Troutman to Bellarmine I believe.

I haven't heard where Hicks is going to college. Sitting out a year for the transfer and then getting hurt part of this year has put a damper on his game and publicity.

Prewitt to William and Mary. Like there is any question..... I would love to see Omar win the title of Mr. Basketball

When is the last time a UK recruit/scholarship player that was nominated as a Mr. Basketball finalist not won Mr. Basketball in KY?

I don't recall it, which tells me it's Willis' to lose. Kentucky's coaches can't help themselves from their fandom, just like everyone else.

Jared Carter maybe?

Who selects the finalists and who votes for Mr. Basketball?

Jared Carter maybe?

I heard a story about JC and Billy Hicks. Something about meeting him in a buffet line in Las Vegas and the next thing you know he was enrolled at Scott County, but I digress.

I think it is Omar Prewitt's to lose. If Hawkins can get his team to Rupp and advance Saturday he will be right there.

Prewitt's Indians will have their hands full with BRossart in their Regional game. I wouldnt be suprised to see the Stangs in Rupp Arena coming out of the 10th.

Really looking forward to seeing the 9th rep at Rupp against Bullitt Easy, assuming they win the 6th.

How big is Troutman? I know all about Willis but Troutman kind of came on late last year and broke out this year.

I have been keeping up with this kid for years. He really impressed me as a Sophomore. Bellermine is getting a steal with him.

Troutman or Hawkins.

Ditto that.... slight edge to Hawkins.

It will come down to who has the most success in this years State Tournament like it has the past few years between candidates.

I would vote Hawkins or Prewitt

Has to go to Hawkins. By far the best all around player in the state!

I love Hawkins game but if Im voting for Mr. Basketball I think Willis is the best player in the state. He scores, rebounds, handles the ball, defends the post, blocks/alters shots, and is un-selfish. On any other team he would average 30pts ppg.

That describes Prewitt quite well also. Maybe he doesn't defend the post as much this year, but he has performed very successfully in all aspects of the press.

It will be very hard for either of the kids from Bullit East to win. If only one of them were nominated, that one would have had a much better chance.

Hawkins really has no weak areas to his game. If he was 6'3"(even though he jumps like he is) he could go play anywhere.

I'm thinking 6'3, 6'4ish. Kid can stroke it.

Most accounts I've seen have Troutman at 6'5". It seems he improves every year. Bellarmine hopes this trend continues, of course.

Troutman and Willis' chances just takes a hit. PRP just beat BE.

They might not be a finalist make the Sweet 16?
