Should you teach your daughter to shoot?

Somebody has to teach me to shoot first.

I'd say yes.

My wife loves to shoot. That must mean I'm a decent husband cause I'm still around. That's also probably why I agree with her A LOT!

Why not? Unless they want nothing to do with it, I think it's a smart thing to do.

I think that I was 12 when I first learned. It's not for everyone, of course, but I think that comfort and knowledge around firearms is a good skill to have.

I can teach you to shoot a rifle or a shotgun, but not a handgun. Tip: rifles and shotguns are wholly unpractical to carry around, and it's impossible to find the right shoes to go with either. :D

I'm working on her dribbling and passing first.

Yes without question, if she wants to learn how to shoot, teach her to shoot.

But don't force her to shoot.

I already know some girls who are trained and women who have their CCDWs. Getting more common.

Well played. :lol::thumb:

I have taken my 12yo daughter shooting a couple of times. She shot a .22 rifle, a .38 revolver, a .40 semi-auto pistol and an AR. .22 was her favorite...she shot VERY good with the .38 though.
