The BEST 6 bucks I've spent in quite awhile, this one had shades of the NewCath/Holmes game, big lead (Covcath 45-30 6:00 mark of the 3rd), then the Dawgs come back and take the lead under 10 seconds to go. WOW!!!!! I believe the shot was on the Holmes side of the court.

 

The best line of the night........during the timeout with :07.9 one of the "crazies" yells into the CovCath bench, "boys your going to be on Sportscenter tonight"!!!! Oh how apropos.

 

CONGRATS to both teams on providing the entire house one hell of a game.

Heard Bolden being in foul trouble first half really hurt Holmes as they killed Covcath on the boards but couldn't get in a rhythm offensively. Hopefully we see a rematch between these two.

 

I have a feeling Holmes gets matched up with Cooper in the first round...hoping for Dixie, though. I agree with the people who said Newcath is the worse match up they could get. I think this loss will really put a chip on the Dogs shoulder. This group HATES to lose.

 

I'll post live updates tomorrow morning from the draw as they come out.

I agree it may sting a little more, but IMO Holmes drawing New Cath could be more of a nightmare for the Bulldogs. At one point, New Cath had a 16 pt lead and relaxed and Holmes took full advantage of that which they should have. What happens if New Cath does not relax, they might have very well beat Holmes by 20 pts. Good luck to all teams, this is gearing up to be a fun Regionals to watch.

I'm reaching? You said Bolden sat with foul trouble (cue your standard response blaming whomever gave you the info) then followed it up with "this group hates to lose". Losing on a walk off bomb does sting, for sure, but that isn't what you said. No question that is an awful way to lose, and no doubt they'll play VERY well next week.
