I think it was 40-30 at halftime with CCH leading.

It then went to 70-70 which means Holmes had outscored CCH 40-30 in the 2nd half.

Reset the last few plays.

 

Tied at 70 on a Fredrick 3.

Holmes drives to the short corner on the left side and gets fouled on the shot with about 9 econds left. Coston makes both to put them up 72-70.

Holmes only had about 3 fouls at this point.

CCH inbounds it and Ruthsatz calls TO in front of the CCH bench. So about 7 seconds left.

Inbounds pass gets deflected by Chames and rolls to the far endline. Picked up by CCH and Chames immediately fouls. CCH ball. About 3 seconds left.

Ruthsatz fouled on the inbounds pass. CCH thinks they have the ball on the sideline with 2 seconds left. Foul happened in the lane so CCH has to take the ball out on the far endline ie go full court.

Throw into Nick Ruthsatz who takes about 2 dribbles and launches.

Good.

Mayhem.

 

Worth noting that the foul in the short corner, at 70-70, fouled Fredrick out of the game.

What a great game by the kids from both teams!!! Congrats to CovCath!! Both Holmes and CovCath will be tough to beat in the regional tourney. Good luck to both teams!!

Let me give a shoutout to Jason Reineke, Kenny Hicks, and Michael Pangallo. Really well-called game for such a fast-paced exciting game. Kept control. Didn't overreach on any calls. Nice flow to the game. Made the tough calls when needed. Handled two excited coaches very well.

They may have gotten a little better as the game went on but horrible in the first half specifically the first quarter. IMO: it was an overall fair to poor officiated game. I will say no more about the officials because I am not going to turn this thread into complaining about the officiating and take away from the kids accomplishments.

I would have to see some film to recall what you mention in the first quarter. Nothing jumped out at me.
