I heard that the coaching staff at Boyle still wanted to play but that the School's administration are the ones who pulled the plug on the game.

Not to get off the Trinity Schedule but does anyone have any info on why Boyle is not playing Highlands?

I can see where they have trouble scheduling based on the "gap" so to speak................But you figure while they will still be one of the top three teams in the whole state, they may not be the dominating force as in the past several years....................

^ A very nice schedule but obviously not a national schedule. Nor does it need to be. Just looking at it from a perspective of being able to get games close to home vs Trinity being able to get games close to home.......or at least within a days drive...............

They lost by 2tds last year and 2tds in 2010, 3tds in 09. Only competitive in 2011 when Mattingly was out.

 

Let me rephrase. It wasn't that Central was necessarily a threat to beat St. Xavier, but it wasn't a 50-0 beatdown that many others have taken to St. Xavier or Trinity. So Central showed that they could at least play on the same field with X, something that no doubt benefited them for runs to the state championship.
