If this is a real letter and this person laid off the people who voted for a Obama then that is a HUGE problem. I wish I would get laid off because of a bumper sticker with my political beliefs on it.

 

No recourse in many states as political affiliation is not a protected status so the employee could be fired for that reason. Although I think conservatism should be a protected status.

 

We read about discrimination happening in hollywood, education and journalism but there is no recourse, they just have to take it or move on.

Frankly, I don't see viable, competent leadership on either side of the aisle. Maybe it is not any different than most of the 236 years of our country, but it seems to me that we are all flooded with information and disinformation, and we are so latched into this that I think a lot of people either lost, or never had the ability to process information logically and make informed decisions. Also, this flood of information is probably discouraging a lot of quality candidates who had some blip in their history from taking positions of leadership which is a big mistake.

 

So, although I ageee with the sentiment that those who voted for a socialist government should "enjoy" its benefits....I am not confident that any part of our system is working very well right now.

That all seems to be the conservative talking points, but I never see data that supports those assertions. Somehow, General Electic figured out how to not pay any tax on 10 billion in profit last year! In addition, I see lots of wondeful tax payer funded athletic facilities that benefit profit making entities. There is enormous corporate welfare that more than makes for the tax burden!

Maybe the story should continue. One of those 60 just bought a car from their uncle Earl, who was an Obama supporter. So, in reality uncle Earl got this man fired. So, this man decides to take his last paycheck and buy a handgun (legally) but obtain an extended clip off of gunbroker (legally) so that he can protect his home because he watched a youtube video where some sheriff says he should. He then calls up Earl and tells his story, so Earl feels bad and asks him to come up and he'd see if he could get him on in the local manufacturing plant where he lives. Problem is, Earl lives in NYC, drives to Jersey every day to work. Now, they take the Obama sticker-mobile out the next day, roll thru a stop sign and get pulled over and he ends up doing 2 years in Attica because he violated the new mag capacity law, didn't have a CCDW and had it under the seat of the Obama sticker-mobile.

 

 

Moral of the story: Either way I'm supporting this mother scratcher.

You're right. The last "conservative" we had in office was sooooo responsible when it came to fiscal policy. It's both sides of the aisle, it's not a liberal, or conservative thing. Both are in the pockets of their special interests.
