As we weave our way through fallen idols - Lance Armstrong, baseball steroid users, etc., is it hypocritical to celebrate Ray Lewis?

How often have you heard announcers talk about how much Lewis is respected and the leadership and guidance he gives to other players in the NFL? With this being his last game, we are going to get more than a full dose of Ray Lewis worship over the next two weeks. Yet we all know his past troubles - the murder indictment and his plea bargain out of it. He settled civil suits out of court with the families of the two people murdered in that incident. He has six children by four women, none of whom he has married. This is the guy other players in the league look up to for advice.

Is this what today's sports "heroes" look like? Are you OK celebrating Ray Lewis?

NO WAY!

That video is hilarious.

It makes me want to take a shower with sandpaper.

What the hell.......

Well, it's now obvious why Ray never married those women. He is gay/bi. I look for him to take Manti "under his wing". :D

Great football player; lousy human being. I guess his legacy will depend on which you put more emphasis on: football player or human being.

I like Ray, He is what he is, made plenty of bad choices, paid for some got away with others, many of us could be in bad shape if things went the wrong way in our 20's. I think he has managed to do some good, in his later years, and he is the best LB the game has seen.

Better than Lawrence Taylor?

Another lousy human being! LOL

Another lousy human being! LOL

True.

He never got away with murder though. He just likes cocaine and hookers. Of any age.
