Best player in the region?? Hahahahaha let's be real. Top 3 for sure, but not the best. All Bolden does is run his mouth too. If it was a game of trash talk, he wins hands down!

I think Bolden would tell you that all he cares about is that his teammates and him are 2-0 versus Scott this year. All the other stuff doesn't matter.

And all he does is talk trash? You must've been watching a different game than me. I didn't see anything from either team tonight. Was a well played game from each side.

You are really labelling this kid something that is no where close to him or his character/attitude. Can tell you have only seen him twice. He is one of the quietest kids on the court, outside of being vocal at times with his teammates.

It's of no care to me nor do I judge kids unless they take it too far but James did talk smack with Fredrick. Again, it's nothing.

I'm watching the G-Tech vs Duke game right now and the Yellow Jackets have a guard named Chris Bolden...Anyone know if he's related to James...Here's a pic of him, they look similar and Bolden is not a name I hear often

Proud of how the Scott guards held Bolden down tonight... Keep playing hard Eagles, goal is still to win district and 10th region.

Agreed. Seems like the Eagles are putting it all together at the right time.

Chames put back dunk wasn't close to a goaltend.

.

Uh, by rule you just described goaltending.

Might've been....

As Tiger said, bang bang play.

Unless you have video to replay it, not sure you can make an argument one way or the other.

So was it "not close" or was it "might've been?"

No they did not call goaltending and that was a bang bang play, but Clyde these three refs were the worst I have seen in a few years. They were inconsistent and could never have a possession without them blowing their whistle for a foul or violation. Officials are supposed to be in theory invisible in the game and these three must have thought it was about them and not the players.

Holmes AD was very vocal and he let the refs have it and rightly so.

I saw something similar in Georgetown tonight. Any and all contact was a foul. Ruins the flow.

Easily the worst crew I have seen in a long while. The Tom Selleck/Mark Malone looking fellow was the worst of the bunch. They gray haired official was right with him. The 3rd guy was the best of the crew but he didn't get a chance to blow his whistle.

Just all around bad. The worst of the bunch was where they had to confer in the 4th quarter on whether or not Jackson made a shot when he got fouled. It wasn't close to going in, yet they needed a couple of minutes to figure it out.

Two walking calls on Holmes in transition were laughable at best. Crim for Scott might have been fouled on a stickback with game tied late.

As for the game, Scott essentially doubled Bolden. Bolden is such a gifted ball handler, he tries to do too much. If he would make the simple pass it would open things up for them on offense.

Chames has really come on for Holmes. I have not seen them play the last couple of games, but he is really coming on as a player.

Palmer was very good for Holmes and really carried them. He even ran point with Bolden at the 2 for a portion of the second half.

Nick Jackson is a really nice player. Not too many 5's in the area can run the point. He does a nice job of scoring in and around the basket. Crim played well for Scott but really controlling the weakside offensive glass.

I think once Scott continues to improve they are going to be a load in the 10th Region tourney.

So was it "not close" or was it "might've been?"

My personal opinion is that it wasn't a goaltend. I thought it was clean and so did a lot of other fans in the building with their reaction after it happened. I honestly didn't even give it a thought until sports fan said it should've been a goaltend.

My might've been comment was in reference to your comment that I described a goaltend. To some Scott fans, it could've looked that way. I don't know. I was just trying to clear up that the ball wasn't "laying on the rim" when it happened, like sports fan said.

Not sure if Carr said anything to the officials about it, but I didn't hear him if he did and I was right behind both benches.

Chames put back dunk wasn't close to a goaltend.

He caught the ball above the cylinder and threw it down with two hands.

Are you serious? It was absolutely a goaltend and should have been called. The ball was above the cylinder, the ball hit the rim and went straight above it, it would have gone in had he not dunked it.

I wasn't at the game, so I can't comment on the refs or the dunk or whatever. Bottom line is Holmes did what they had to do to win the game in a tough place to win, against a good team, and a team trying to knock off the unbeaten. The 'dogs are going to get everyone's "A" game IMO. The game does not matter to either one of their post seasons. Looks like the 'dogs are a little better than Scott. 2-0 home and home is enough to prove that.

Refs were bad for both sides but the worst call of the night was Chames put back, the ball was on the rim all he did was dunk it in.

Said this would occur.....always the refs....

Agree with you BengalManiac except to Scott fans who believe they are 2 + 0 against Holmes....the refs blew it to them.......Scott hasn't lost a game this year to them-it is always the stripes that costs the Eagles to lose.

Scott will be state champion in 2013! In their own mind....

Looking through the update thread its pretty clear that Holmes fan(s) complained significantly more about the officials...

Sportsfan pointed out they were bad on both sides. And I as others stated the non goaltending call in the 2nd quarter was wrong.

Not one person has said that the refs won or lost the game..
