January 8, 201313 yr Legitimate question: If Alabama chooses to punt on first down every time they get the ball in the second half could Notre Dame get back in the game? Now that's funny!! :thumb: I'm a rich man!!!!!! I think ND fans are just like Bengal fans.
January 8, 201313 yr SEC is still king and Notre Dame is still a fraud. Western Kentucky gave Bama more problems. Notre Dame isn't a top 10 team, yet do to the joke that is the BCS this is what football fans are stuck with. So Oregon who lost to a team who Notre Dame should have been in there? Yeah you have a great argument there. Basically your thing is based on the eye test and well the UL/UF game showed how good the eye test is. I will say this Oregon may have given a slightly better game, but I doubt it. They wouldn't stop Bama either, and Oregon's offense would struggle against this defense. Oregon's offense is based on timing, and they even looked rusty that first half against Kansas State. That rust would have resulted in a dominating first half too. As I said before just because Notre Dame loses and even loses bad doesn't mean they didn't deserve to be here. Teams like Oregon blew it by losing to a team Notre Dame beat. Bama is just that good. I mean last year Bama at least played another SEC team in the title, and SEC team who was undefeated and even beat Bama in the regular season. Yet after a month off we saw what Bama did to them too. Bama is plain and simple the best team in the country and wouldn't matter who they played it would have been domination again.
January 8, 201313 yr Alabama Larry is probably throwing a heck of a party right now. I have thought about him several times tonight ... and smiled each time. RIP AL.
January 8, 201313 yr Author Kinda upset that the game is blacked out on WatchESPN. Can't be near a TV for the second half but would love to watch.
January 8, 201313 yr Yes. The ND offense has made some plays. They just haven't put enough of them together in one drive to score. I don't think ND gets shut out. I really don't think there's any way that Notre Dame could score 4 touchdowns in the second half even if Alabama gave them the ball back by punt on every first down. They'd scored but I don't think they'd put up 28.

Sorry about the rust, if this is what a month off does to the Irish then we never have to worry about them winning a title. Georgia would have smoked Notre Dame.

January 8, 201313 yr Well, time to put Rudy in the game! LOL! From the looks of things he played the entire first half. Is Rudy rust proof?

January 8, 201313 yr Would love to see if McCarron, Lacy and Yeldon put even more of a dominating performance together. This is what Bobby Hurley felt like in 1990.
January 8, 201313 yr Better keep showing the QB girlfriend to keep guys watching, she is a lot hotter than ND offense and defense.
