Marvin Lewis It's Time

Featured Replies

It's time to make a change with Marvin Lewis. After all has any NFL Coach lasted 10 years without a winning record (79-80-1 .497 pct.), never won a playoff game (0-4), never advanced to the second round of the playoffs (in four tries). It most probably wont get better. Because of all the openings in the NFL i can see Mike Zimmer and Jay Gruden getting hed jobs or Gruden going to a college job. Then we start all over again. I'm ready for Mike Brown to issue his yearly comment "We are very close to getting over the hump. I'm proud of our boys. Marvin has done a good job." :isurrender: What is Sam Wyche doing these days? At this point Id take Tiger Johnson.

I agree with all of your points except for whom to bring in.

With a good coach the Bengals could take the next step. Not with Marvin.

Get rid of Lewis, hire Zimmer before someone else does. If Gruden goes then he goes. Replace Maualuga, start Orsen Charles over a bad Gresham. The guy can't catch and when he does he likes to fumble. Draft a running back or 2...

Marvin needed to go 5 years ago.

Also who cares if Gruden goes ande gets a HC job, who in their right mind would hire Gruden as a HC based on what he's done in the NFL? He hasn't done anything here worth talking about.

Mueller? How would he do...little drop in talent from what he is used to, but I think he could adjust.

Now take a deep breath and hold it until Mike Brown fires Lewis. :D

I don't think Lewis was the problem this year. I believe it was Gruden's. The Bengals offense just disappeared despite running the ball effectively at times. Green got doubled in the playoffs and no other receiver could pick up the slack.

I agree completely although we all know that Marvin is going nowhere. Someone has to explain to me why Gruden is considered a "hot commodity" for a head coaching job. I think he is terrible. Green did not have one pass thrown his way the entire first half. Dalton said it was because they were trying to get the ball to Gresham-they liked the matchup. What? I hope Gruden gets another job. We cannot do any worse.

While I agree that Gruden had a HORRIBLE game plan yesterday. People also have to realize that people who break down these tapes have talked about how Dalton has missed out on a lot of big play opportunitys this year, and they were not talking about the throws he was inaccurate on. They are talking about the throws he just did not make. So there may be more guys open and big plays out there and our QB is just not making the right reads or is being to conservative. There is more than meets the eye sometimes people.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I feel the Bengals took a step forward this season by not regressing from the previous season. Back-to-back playoff appearances (albeit first round losses) never happen for Cincinnati. Now if they do not take another step in the right direction next season, then give him the axe. I do not think he earned being fired after this season.

Well I will say this, and I believe he should of been fired although we all know he won't be. Marvin is responsible for the poor performance this team always shows against good teams and playoff games.

1. Anyone who lets Brandon Tate return any kicks should be expelled and banned from the league permanently, that is just common sense.

2. Any HC that allows his team to only run the ball 4 times in the first half of a playoff game where the RB has over 40 yards rushing on only 3 carries yet passes the rest of the time for a whopping -6 yards passing should of been fired at halftime of that game.

3. Any HC who has a losing record after 10 years should be fired.

4. any coach that is 0-4 in the playoffs should be fired.

Marvin should of been fired long ago and this year is no exception, playoffs or not.

Maybe he should have been fired a long time ago, but the past two seasons are not good reasons to fire him, imo. Especially when you compare it to the Bengals history of sucking. It is put up or shut up time now though.

The way I see it the Bengals made the playoffs last season. This season they proved it was not an aberration. And next season they have to take the next step by at least getting to the next round. Another 10-6 without winning their division and going home first weekend in January then see you later.

Waiting for Mike Brown to fire a coach under contract is like waiting for Mike Brown to throw on a FUBU shirt, throw on 2 Chainz in his Bentley, and be smoking a Phillies blunt while sipping on purple drank.
