Fitness Goals 2013 Edition

To become efficient in the Oly lifts and eventually get a 2x body weight clean.
I'd like to improve both my snatch and clean. The cleans are getting better but really struggle with my snatch. I can't overhead squat anything more then about 30lbs so my snatch is limited to what ever I can power snatch. I'm working on my flexibility but it's slow going.

That will be a 50lb jump on bench and deadlift. It's a goal. Overly optimistic, but a goal nonetheless. The other two aren't a huge jump.

They will only be tough because you will be trying to do them while not only maintaining your weight but losing fat. Sounds like you already have some impressive numbers. I'd be happy If I could get to 300 on my bench and squat.

Lose 10 lbs. I would like it to be from my waistline. I never used to gain a lot of weight there, but 1) I am middle-aged; 2) I eat too much food; and 3) I haven't been able to jog in several months due to an achilles injury. I do weights, elliptical, cycle and walk every day, but my intake is still at a runner's level so it is not working out too well. I have gotten into horse back riding again, and I would like to get back under 200 as a kind gesture to the horse (although he is asking for -20 ).

I've always done the power versions. Never the full lifts. My struggle is being comfortable and stable overhead.

This is my biggest problem....

Down 20 since early August would like to get down about another 15 or so. I didn't realize how round my face had gotten, would kind of like to get down to a 32 pants size but I'm not sure if my legs will allow that. Would like to be able to run 2 miles without feeling like I'm going to die.

Look like Tarzan even if I only have Jane numbers...
We will do our best to get your bench max to 115 this year :thumb:
Man I have gained so much weight over the last couple of years. I currently weigh 257.4 I'm looking to get down around 205-210. Gonna start exercising again and changing my eating habits.

I've found that is key. I usually work out fairly regularly but when you miss a day or to here and there, those bad eating habits are like a slap in the face.

Ah yes 115, 6th grade was a good year for me.

One of my big problems is craft beer. I love it. Some of that stuff can be rather heavy.

See I've been off work for about two moths now. So I watch our baby instead of a babysitter to save on money so I'm stuck st the house alot. I snack around a lot since I'm at the house and I've seen m weight really go up.

Try not to die.

Snacks are the devils food group. Seriously if you know you're going to do it then buy fruit, yogurt or something of that nature. I see people all of the time saying they need/want to lose weight and then go get a bag of chip or candy from a vending machine. Which do you want more is what it boils down to, if you know you're a snacker then just try to have healtheir choices around for your snack. You can do it!

I've found that it is so easy to eat what you have in your house. So when I buy chocolates or sweats in general those get eaten first and foremost. So my fix to that is to not even buy those items so they don't even make it into the house. Responsible grocery shopping is critical. It can be pretty hard to do when noone else in the house buys into the plan.

Just completed my first run in a while. 2.34 miles in 30 minutes. I'm exhausted.
