December 13, 201213 yr Author Thanks again for the prayers and good wishes. Aunt Carole was taken from ICU to hospice later Wednesday afternoon, where she passed away overnight. She had suffered a great deal over the past few years, and while we are sad to lose her, it is buffered by the knowledge that her pain has ended. She hung on just long enough for my mom to make it up to Iowa to say goodbye one last time.
