First, congrats to all the players for their achievements but but someone missed the boat on Aaron Morgan not being selected on niether team as a defensive back. All he did was lock down nearly every receiver he covered all season and gave up only 1 td the entire season to arguably the 3rd best receiver in the state (BG's-Fant) and had 7 picks for the season. He locked down Timmons and had 2 int's against him as well. Not to mention he played the entire playoffs with a stress fracture in his foot.

 

Additonally, how the heck is Barker not on one of these teams? I agree it's tough because there are alot of great players in this area so "it is what it is" but someone needs to do a little more homework.

 

I agree on Morgan as well. I was surprised to see him do so well against Timmons but he was close enough to where he could make a play on the ball every time they threw his way. Very good season for him.

This is the NKY all-star team. I don't believe Walton Verona is considered NKY.

Strange that the teams are made up of Boone, Kenton and Campbell kids but not the Mosier kid. Either he was a huge miss by the folks putting the list together or they think that WV isn't in Boone County.

Never said South Oldham was. As you can see from the list, there is not a single player from WV or SO on there.. Therefore they must not be considered NKY teams.

Ok then, put McCoy on there as a WR. I know it's based on 2012 stats but McCoy would be the #1 receiver on both lists if he would of played that position this year. How many yards after catch do you think McCoy would of had this year. It's simple, have you ever watched Highlands offense? It's not very complicated, you just have to stop their Athletes. There would of been a lot and I mean a whole lot of screens thrown to him. McCoy is very scary in space.....He proved that last year as one of Highlands top leading receivers.

 

 

Congrats to all the players that made the teams. Here's hoping McCoy goes on to the next level and plays. There is place on the football field for him somewhere. Most likely WR & return man......

I'm sure that McCoy is a really good athlete and could play any position. The issue may be just that- what is his true position if he were to play at the next level? I'd think he would be a good safety.
