Convince me that Durham (a good player) is a better choice than either McCoy or Barker at QB.

 

And do it based solely on his talent and not "he's important to his team."

Wish I could convice you, but I cant, what I can convince you of though, is that if I were starting a team I'd feel pretty darn good about having Durham, Barker or McCoy as my QB!

Tyler played a few snaps (not enough IMO) in the Best of the Bluegrass game. He was listed as a TE- his most likely position in college.

 

I can't argue with McCoy as the ATH. He's not the QB that Bir is and I'd expect a position change at the next level for him as well.

 

Of the NKY QB's, Bir, Barker and Kuntz are QB's at the next level.

I will get killed for this, but give me Hayes over Nussbaum at RB. Also, Franzen is better than each receiver on that list w/ the exception of Fogle.

To play the devils advocate, if you could put Nussbaum in only one spot, which one would it be and who would you replace him with in the others? I can see moving Dillon Hayes into the RB spot and leaving Nussbaum at LB

Congrats to Junior Linebacker Seth Caple of Dixie for making the NKY All-Star 2nd team. Seth is a fine youngman and a very hard worker. Congrats to all the youngmen who were selected for this team.

I think Nussbaum's best spot is at safety. I think he would be the best safety in NKY if he played it.

Nice for players to get some props but this is meaningless. Nothing but a popularity contest.

Just because someone hits hard, doesn't make them better than someone who doesn't hit as hard.. Nussbaum played nearly every defensive snap in the Best of the Bluegrass game, and made a bunch (double digit) tackles. I'd say he's 1st team.

The fact that #71 OT/DT Cole Mosier from Walton-Verona did not make this team is a joke. Congrats to the young men recognized, but very disappointing that such a dominant player on both sides of the ball didn't make the team.

I would take Newport High School OL Devin Roenker over any linemen on either team. He is the best pass blocker in NKY that I have seen this year and can play every position on the line. This young man does everything he is asked to do. Also was outstanding at the UC Friday Night Lights camp. He did not lose 1 heat in all the drills they put him through at the camp. This kid gets no credit.

 

Also is a joke that Walton's Cole Mosier isn't on there as well.

One of those players that the offenses would audible out of plays to his side while he was on defense. Anchored a o-line that had 4 players run for more than 500 yards and one for over 900 yards. Walton finished 5th in 2a in rushing yards. Hard to imagine him not on the list but as I said earlier it is a popularity contest.
