To play the devils advocate, if you could put Nussbaum in only one spot, which one would it be and who would you replace him with in the others? I can see moving Dillon Hayes into the RB spot and leaving Nussbaum at LB

I think Max is very well deserving of both the spots, offense and defense. The only name I would add to the list that isn't on there would be Dustin Mitchell on DL. He was a beast this year and between him and Taylor Centers was the major reason Cooper had such a good defense this year and why the team went as far as they went in the playoffs.

 

Scott High School Jr OL Corey Fitzwater didn't even make second team? He has the interest of UC and Ohio St.

You can't start talking about who has interest from colleges, if you go that route the list will be huge. Start with Lex Sowards a OL for Ryle, only a jr but has gotten major interest from a lot of big D1 schools ever since his sophomore season.

I'd say Nussbaum is the best safety in NKY. Doesn't matter that he didn't play it.

I agree, he and Fogle are so similar, just great athletes. I'd say you could put both on the same team and have both play FS and SS and your defense just improved immmensly.

For the Highlands players personal recognition is great but the team and the championship is what is really about. Congrats to all!

Something that I don't understand, isn't WV in a NKY district? Along these same lines.. South Oldham is in the NKY district with Conner, Cooper, Scott, and Grant Co.. However The QB from South Oldham that played in the Best of the Bluegrass game was on the Louisville roster... Strange.

Tyler Walsh has to be in that conversation. I will say he was hurt a big part of the year.

First, congrats to all the players for their achievements but but someone missed the boat on Aaron Morgan not being selected on niether team as a defensive back. All he did was lock down nearly every receiver he covered all season and gave up only 1 td the entire season to arguably the 3rd best receiver in the state (BG's-Fant) and had 7 picks for the season. He locked down Timmons and had 2 int's against him as well. Not to mention he played the entire playoffs with a stress fracture in his foot.

 

Additonally, how the heck is Barker not on one of these teams? I agree it's tough because there are alot of great players in this area so "it is what it is" but someone needs to do a little more homework.

Not the case, The Bearcats finished in the Top 10 of NKY on this web site (ahead of Beechwood which I would say was a stretch) & had several candidates for players of the week.
