I'm not going to call either one classics, which RP may disagree with. But both are cute enough holiday movies.

 

As movies go though, A Christmas Story blows Vaca out of the water. Much better character development, and great point of view storytelling. It's not a classic, but it's a pretty darn good movie.

I've got a feeling I'll be the only one who can truthfully say this:

 

I've seen neither film.

Its a close call for me but I lean towards Christmas vacation. I can watch that movie several times in a row (like I did in bed last night) and it never gets old. Christmas Story is still really good but a close second.

i'll be honest. i loved christmas story for a long time, but i watched it this year, for the first time in ages, for work purposes. and its awful. i mean its a really dumb movie... i just cant do it anymore. i do still love randy parker. but that movie's dumb.
