BH must have been impressive, sorry I couldn't be there. VOR, I remember in the 2010 district where Fangman nearly beat Holmes ny himself. That was the best shooting display I had seen in a long time.

As I read the comments and comparisons of other games/players about Hatton's game last night, it brought to mind Tyler Fangman of Beechwood versus Boone County 2 years ago. Boone knew Fangman was the only offensive threat for Beechwood and still couldn't stop him. He scored 45 points with 9 threes and the threes just kept getting deeper as the game went on and Boone tried to stop him.

I wish I could have seen Hatton's game last night. He is a must see this year for sure.

The game Fangman played against Boone was unbelievable. He was shooting the same long contested shots with two or three guys on him.

How did the JV and Freshman games end up last night?

I was told Frosh won and JV lost by 3?. Newcath So. Jason Covington sustained an ankle injury in the JV game, was on crutches and had ankle wrapped.

Brandon wants to get away for college and although he hasn't publicly said it, probably thinks he is too good to play at NKU. I'm sure Bez is aware of this and that's why he hasn't offered.

Brandon is very confident in his game and the level he can play at.... NKU would be too low for him.

Maybe so, but if NKU doesn't go after him they are 100% assured they will not get him.

He has been on Bezold's radar for a long time. BH doesn't want to go to NKU.

Work with someone who knows NKU coach Bezold personally. He called the coach while I was there and Bezold said he would ofer Hatton today if he thought he could get him.

Which pretty much goes along with what I said earlier about him not offering because Brandon is too good to play at that level.....

I do not believe Hatton is "too good" to play at NKU.

NKU might be a great fit for him. They will get more competitive in D-1. I'm sure he'll look at his options and make the best decision for him.

There is no way Hatton "is too good" to play at NKU. Not take anything away from Hatton, but high D1 basketball is a on a whole other level. IMO, he is better off going to a place like NKU with some familiarity and him being a local kid may give him more of an opportunity.

Look at Redford from XU, check out his highlight tapes from High School. Kid could flat out shoot it from anywhere on the floor. IMO, he is a purer shooter than Hatton and Redford's transition to A-10 basketball has made him become nothing but a shooter. He is a great 3-point specialist. With that said I just don't see Hatton going higher than mid major.

Sounds like a great game last night with several blue chippers showing their stuff!

As Dixie's youth progresses this could be a very interesting match up later in the year.

NCC only put 5 scores in the books. That could end up hurting them in the long run.

Yup, if Schulte and McDonald get in foul trouble they will be hurting. Weyer is a frosh and although he has a lot of upside is not anywhere near the level that McDonald and Schulte play. Schulte tries to block every shot put up in front of him including jumpers from behind the arc.

Outside of the hot shooting performance by Hatton what nobody realizes is that he did not come out of the game once and looked like he was in the best condition of anyone on the floor. His stamina and strength are two key areas that will allow him to stay in games and probably average over 25 pts a game this year.

Redford doesn't have the Hatton toughness and street smarts IMO. Stats are fine but Hatton has the killer instinct and is a different breed than Redford.

He may flirt w/ 30ppg this year.

He did come out once during the fourth quarter for probably around a grand total of 25 seconds. But you are correct that he did look like he was in the best condition. To play that much and still have the legs to shoot from the range he was is incredible.

I was shocked he exited the game but it was only for one play, a sip of water and back in. Awesome performance for sure.
