November 27, 201213 yr Author And those people need to get a life and quit looking for people who say things that hurt their feelings. How Jamie Foxx's sarcastic statement at The Soul Train Awards Show became public fodder is sad indeed. Does Soul Train even come on anymore? Who even knew they had an awards show? This has to be the most obscure award show in the history of awards shows. I mean I am sure if I looked hard enough I could find someone somewhere who said something that hurt my feelings. I question anyone's motives as to why they would go looking for those people and why they use every little thing they see to say," see, I told you how they were." Much ado about nothing. Jamie Foxx????? Really???? Because they believe their religion isn't a joking matter to them you question their motives?
November 27, 201213 yr Because they believe their religion isn't a joking matter to them you question their motives? So...you were aghast at "Dogma"?....Right?
November 27, 201213 yr Because they believe their religion isn't a joking matter to them you question their motives? Yes. I do. He didn't single anyone out. He made a sarcastic statement about black people's love for Obama and now his face on one of those memes on Facebook with idot stamped across it under the headline,"Did he really say that?" They should go look up some of his better material if they want to be even more offended.

November 27, 201213 yr Wonder what the reaction to Bill Hicks would be these days if he were still around. Did these people get bored pulling their hair out in outrage over Bill Maher?
November 27, 201213 yr While I understand that it's a pretty tiny thing to get upset about, I think there's somewhat of a double standard here... I don't think anyone can judge a person for getting offended over something he/she finds offensive... whether it be race, religion, ethnicity, etc.
November 28, 201213 yr Is anyone offended by the movie "Dogma "?. If so' date=' you'll find me extraordinarily offensive, as I have a Buddy Jesus statue.[/quote'] I love Dogma and wish I had a Buddy Jesus statue.
November 28, 201213 yr I love Dogma and wish I had a Buddy Jesus statue. It's Buddy Christ, thank you very much. Godless heathens, you and RM both ...
November 28, 201213 yr It's Buddy Christ, thank you very much. Godless heathens, you and RM both ... Dammit. I feel ashamed. I blame Rockmom, she lead me down the wrong path.
November 28, 201213 yr When I see something about Soul Train, Clyde is the first person I think of. Soul Train through and through. Huge Soul Train/Don Cornelius fan. Great documentary out there about the show.
November 28, 201213 yr Did not read through this entire thread, but I do believe in free speech. Jamie Foxx said what he said and that is fine with me. However, he must be ready to face the consequences. We all need to be accountable for what we say and do. He may find feed back from loyal fans that say he has stepped over the line and will not follow him, he may find people want to sue him or picket his house or he may not get fired from a job. I really don't care. But when you use your freedom of speech, make sure you understand the consequences.
November 28, 201213 yr Author So...you were aghast at "Dogma"?....Right?Is the movie a politician with a track record? Did I say I personally had a problem with it or did I say I understood their problem with it? Yeah, that's what I thought.
