'Our Lord and Savior'......

Featured Replies

I am still struggling to see how this falls into the category of making fun of a religion.

If anything he's making fun of black folk for the pedestal they're placing the POTUS upon.

I think some of are offended because we already had Ronald Reagan there. :D

I am forever grateful!!

I'll close the thread now. Nothing else to say after a Clizzy 'like'.

An instant classic BGP post.

After 2+ pages, I'll admit that I'm lost.

Which people have something the hell wrong with them?

Or don't say things on a show that everyone has a right to watch that would be that offensive' date=' that seems pretty simple too.[/quote']

They have the right to watch, but they can also easily not watch if it offends them.

I have the right to carry a concealed weapon, but I don't feel the need to so I don't.

I have the right to listen to Matt Jones, but he is an idiot so I don't.

I have the right to watch Bill O'Reilly, but he gets on my nerves so I don't.

You have that right' date=' might be nice if you would at least afford them their right to find something offensive.[/quote']

They can find it offensive. They can also not support not watch Foxx going forward. He's a comedian and comedians make jokes --- often offensive jokes.

Oh, we agree there. My point is they likely tuned in not expecting to hear Foxx say Obama was our Lord and Savior, I'm sure most of them promptly tuned out at that point.

Again, we agree. I think it would have been better to keep jokes like that tailored to a stand-up show of his own rather than an awards show where anyone can tune in not expecting to hear what they very well may consider blasphemy.

That's fair enough, totally agree.
