From the opening kickoff and throughout the game there were was a lot of in-your-face and aggressive play - on both sides. There are plenty of examples in that highlight. And if you do not see that you will have to take the blinders off. Regardless that would never justify this particular incident. As stated it is as wrong as it looks.

 

But to accuse the LexCath coaching staff of condoning or supporting or teaching this type of action is simply wrong.

How many coaches were there? How many coaches were in the press box? How many on the sidelines?

 

For you to say that no coach saw any of it when apparently everyone else in the stands saw it going on all game is being a bit naive wouldn't you say?

 

All it takes is 1 coach who saw this occurring and then it becomes his responsibility to put a stop to it. That didn't happen so yes I do blame the coaching staff for allowing it to go on.

 

There is no way you can ever convince me that nobody, and I mean NOBODY on the entire coaching staff saw anything wrong. Come on man! (if i can borrow a Cris Carter phrase) Even the Highlands coaches saw it and were smart enough to keep one of their players off the field so he wouldn't retaliate.

 

Sorry, but although you may not like it, coaches are responsible for the players on the field and their actions. If it was a single incident then I could see that and this wouldn't even be a topic, but apparently by many who witnessed it this went on throughout the game by the same player. You will never convince me that everyone in the stands and sidelines saw it except for the Lex Cath coaching staff.

I heard from a very reliable source and no it wasn't either one of my nephews that Dale toyed with taking his team straight to the locker room at the end of the game. You think the game was ugly the last 8 mins, could you imagine how Letton would of felt being dissed at midfield by Highlands. It could of been a disaster!!! Dale Mueller was the bigger person the other night that's for sure. But it almost happened!!

So what does all this crap do moving forward with the relationship between Highlands/Catholic JV & Frosh match ups. I mean, is it really worth the possibility of something escalating further for these 2 teams to play one another out of their normal schedules each year? Something to think about that's for sure!

Interesting how he grabbed onto a kid 70lbs lighter than him to do the headbutting.

Keep up the drama if you wish. I was clear in my statement. That incident was not in any way condonable and no one I know did support it or condone it.

I really do not know. I heard 2nd hand that the player was ripped on the sidelines. But given the logistics it was hard to tell. It was late in the game I guess - I did not see this in real time at all but know someone who had already left that heard about it and heard about the coaches response (a recent alumni/former player).

Really? Should it be published in the paper or something? Is a quart of blood to come with it?

 

I would assume the coaches have methods of addressing things like this.

 

Ideally, it should have been have been flagged and handled during the game. But due to the poor management of the game by the officials or their inability to see some this and other obvious penalties (and this was definitely a penalty) it was not. So it becomes forum fodder with this drama.

I just read a retweet by a HHS player that I follow that was tweeted by a LexCath player that said...."Ft Thomas is the richest town in Kentucky".......Bahahahahahahahaha!!! Talk about calling the kettle black....All I know is it is getting pretty chippy on Twitter!

I was replying to you saying it wasn't condoned or supported by the coaching staff when clearly by their lack of doing anything about it (and what I mean by that is yanking the kid out of the game) then it was apparently condoned and supported as the kid did not stop with his antics at all.

I also noticed that the Lex Cath crew that was in the booth yelled for holding calls on every HHS offensive play in the background lol, even on a play where a Lex Cath d-linemen grabbed and threw a o-lineman to the ground haha.
